• Keep WP:ATHLETE is a guideline and not policy, and it is inclusionary, not exclusionary. Google News shows 100+ news articles about the subject, so I see no reason to delete. Quite easily meets WP:GNG and WP:BIO.--Paul McDonald (talk) 02:46, 26 July 2009 (UTC)
• Keep - WP:ATHLETE is used as an automatic measure of notability, but a player who has achieved notability in college football may still be notable -- even without ever playing a game in the NFL/CFL. Capers meets general notability standards based on extensive non-trivial coverage in the media. Over 100 articles found in NewsBank search.
