• Keep: Don't get me wrong, the article is a total and complete mess at the moment, but there is a huge amount of significant coverage in news sources about this person, indicating a clear WP:GNG pass. Curbon7 (talk) 17:53, 9 October 2022 (UTC)
• Keep: the sources in the article are enough to demonstrate an WP:NBASIC pass. They're clustered a bit in 2015, but Ortega has been the subject of continuing coverage. Mid-2016, as the US was lifting its restrictions on trans military service, Ortega pops up in some articles, like [https://www.nbcnews.com/feature/nbc-out/trans-army-sergeant-weighs-expected-repeal-trans-military-ban-n598821 this NBC article]. There's a flurry of sources from the end of 2016, when Ortega was featured in Netflix's The Trans List (e.g. [https://www.sfchronicle.com/tv/article/Difference-is-the-norm-for-folks-on-The-Trans-10686905.php this SF Chronicle piece]). Pieces since then that I found tend to be very brief biographical detail accompanying quotes of Ortega on various issues, usually to do with changes in military trans policy.
