Unremarkable local event. Lacks significant coverage in 3rd party sources. RadioFan (talk) 12:44, 12 April 2011 (UTC)

  • Keep While not as heavily sources as say the Lexington Barbecue Festival, the fact that it is a local event doesn't disqualify it. I found a few articles from different regional newspapers simply by using the links in this AFD. That would clearly show notability. It needs more references and cleaning up (like most articles on Wikipedia) and I have tagged as such. Otherwise, a perfectly cromulent article. Dennis Brown (talk) 14:08, 12 April 2011 (UTC)

:Comment WP:OTHERSTUFF aside, the hits from the news link above do not add up to "significant coverage". Most are brief event calendar type entries and one mentions the event only in passing and is focused instead on an tangentially related murder case.--RadioFan (talk) 14:26, 12 April 2011 (UTC)

::Comment Wasn't comparing, was contrasting. In some places it is called the 'South Haven Blueberry Festival' and others call it either 'Blueberry Festival in South Haven' or 'National Blueberry Festival in South Haven' but there are a few sources that pass WP:RS. [http://www.mlive.com/features/kzgazette/index.ssf?/base/features-2/1217861426251480.xml&coll=7 Kalamazoo Gazette] and [http://nl.newsbank.com/nl-search/we/Archives?p_product=CSTB&p_theme=cstb&p_action=search&p_maxdocs=200&p_topdoc=1&p_text_direct-0=0EB36D77C7843EA3&p_field_direct-0=document_id&p_perpage=10&p_sort=YMD_date:D&s_trackval=GooglePM Chicago Sun Times] as well as a few books. Like I said, it isn't covered as closely as other festivals, but I think it clears the bar by being covered adequately if you search beyond the links provided in the AFD, which we always do, don't we?
