• Comment Based on what I see in the source [http://www.royalark.net/Qatar/qatar3.htm], he would be more deserving of an article than most of the "notable" British royalty who have articles. If I read this right, he was the eldest surviving son of the ruler of Qatar at the time of the latter's death in 1913. Although I personally do not like the entire premise of the royalty articles, where someone gets an article because he happens to be the third cousin twice removed of Queen Elizabeth, the WP:ROYAL people have their own "special" criteria for European royalty. If we're going to pretend that being born into royalty is an accomplishment, then the Arabs should get the same privileges as the Europeans. I don't like the rules on royalty, but as long as they're out there, they have to be applied consistently. Mandsford (talk) 12:54, 23 July 2009 (UTC)

• Keep. Although I've been unable to ascertain if he is notable, I have strong feeling that he is. His father was an unelected ruler in Qatar and probably passed on a significant amount of power to his son. --Pink Bull (talk) 01:38, 29 July 2009 (UTC)
