WP:NOTABILITY -- this is a "team" that has yet to play a game and as yet has no players; article is [http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Talk:Will_County_CrackerJacks&oldid=424636641 written by the team's media relations manager] who is posting it [http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=User_talk:Mikegncb34&diff=424913537&oldid=424796074 at the request of the team owner], and who has repeatedly deleted COI tags attached to the article. Gnews hits are one local article on the formation of the team, and an announcement of a celebrity to speak at their luncheon. Nat Gertler (talk) 21:16, 21 April 2011 (UTC)

:Note: AfD was submitted on April 21, but Twinkle messed up and didn't put it on the AfD log, for some reason, so I'm adding it to the log on April 23. --Nat Gertler (talk) 15:39, 23 April 2011 (UTC)

  • Response I still don't know what the issue is. Our first game is June 1st. We have 20 guys on the roster but it hasn't been finalized yet because the season hasn't started. Our website is crackerjacksbaseball.com if you want to check out the team. The league we play in is midwestcollegiateleague.com if you'd like to check that out. All I was asking for was a little time to gather information and let everything get finalized. One of the teams in the league, the Rockford Foresters, have a Wikipedia page and there is no issue with that whatsoever. Thanks. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Mikegncb34 (talkcontribs) 00:05, 23 April 2011 (UTC)
  • Addition The following teams have yet to play as well and have Wikipedia pages:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sugar_Land_Skeeters

  • Please read WP:OTHERSTUFFEXISTS – Muboshgu (talk) 13:35, 30 April 2011 (UTC)
  • Delete no sources, no verification, no notability... Wikipedia is not a free web hosting server. If the other articles are the same, I say go ahead and delete them too as WP:SPEEDY for WP:ADV or WP:COI or whatever else they may fall under.--Paul McDonald (talk) 04:57, 24 April 2011 (UTC)

  • Delete - I have no doubt this team exists, but does not seem to be notable in the sense of being appropriate for a Wikipedia article. Rlendog (talk) 18:41, 27 April 2011 (UTC)
  • Delete per above. Consider nominating Rockford Foresters and Martha's Vineyard Sharks for deletion. – Muboshgu (talk) 13:35, 30 April 2011 (UTC)
