1. At the moment, there is no need for specific "of residence" category. It is the only subcategory of :Category:Russia user templates.
2. Userboxes in the category allow customization (advertized on documentations subpages) to include any verb phrase, not just "lives in". —⁠andrybak (talk) 17:35, 27 June 2019 (UTC)

• :{{re|Marcocapelle}} issue with that is that a lot of userboxes in :Category:US city of residence user templates and :Category:US city of origin user templates are hardcoded to say "lives in", "hails from" and similar phrases, so there's still benefit from this subcategorization. Another possibility, to not disturb the structure of subcategories :Category:Place of residence user templates and :Category:Place of origin user templates, would be to create parallel :Category:Russian city of origin user templates and just categorize every userbox from :Category:Russian city of residence user templates into it. For example, User:UBX/User Toledo already is categorized in both US cities subcategories. —⁠andrybak (talk) 10:42, 29 June 2019 (UTC)

• Delete per WP:OCEPON, note that we do not need a parent category when there is just a main article with an albums and songs subcategory because in that case all content is linked by the {{Songs by artist}} and {{Albums by artist}} templates already.
