• Delete -- I would additionally question whether the articles (which are all about geographers) are correctly categorised as earth sciences, which appears to be an interdisciplinary subject drawing on a number of disciplines, though geography is one of them. • Merging to :Category:Religious scholars is also a good option, especially since the target has very few subcategories right now. Marcocapelle (talk) 16:49, 2 January 2023 (UTC)
• Further comment -- We also have a tree for theologians. I am not sure that scholars of a particular religion are that different from its theologians. However that might not do for Buddhism which in some forms has no gods. Should this be merged to theologians? Peterkingiron (talk) 17:52, 4 January 2023 (UTC)

• Comment, it would probably be helpful to include :Category:LGBT people from Venezuela etc in the nomination.
