ART + COMMUNITY
During this two-day edit-a-thon taking place on Saturday, February 25, 2017 and Saturday, March 11, 2017, we will be adding and updating articles for artists, activists, and organizers with a sustained involvement in cultural production, community building, and intersectional dialogs in Newark and New Jersey.

Who are we focusing on?
Artists, activists, and organizers with a sustained involvement in cultural production, community building, and intersectional dialogs in Newark and New Jersey. Although the additions and edits will be far from comprehensive, it is one step towards a more diverse archive. Art + Community aims to add diverse practitioners and communities to the wikipedia archive. New articles will be chosen through a series of discussions with members of the Newark community and artist Jaret Vadera.

The Process: Step-by-Step
=1. Create your account=
- Click on the blue link "Create Account" in the top right corner.
- Click on the blue link "Create One" in the sign in box.
- Fill out the information on the page (email is not necessary) and click the "Create Account" button.
- Your username will now appear in red in the top right corner.
=2. Create your userpage=

- Make sure you're signed in.
- Click on your user name, which is a red link, in the top right corner.
- Click the “Edit” tab (located between “Read” and “View History”) to make several edits to your userpage.
- Include as little or as much information about yourself as you would like. It's often a good idea to state your interests and what you'll be working on, including any declarations of possible conflicts of interest (for example, where you work, if you're comfortable sharing.)
- Tell edit-a-thon organizer your username so they can add it to the ART+COMMUNITY Meetup Page
