Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/Wikipedia:WikiProject Blackadder (2nd nomination)

This project was started in 2006 and went inactive 2007 with 24 members after the first mfd and no activity since. JJ98 (Talk) 00:37, 24 March 2011 (UTC)

• Comment My comments on the first MFD are essentially the same here: it's inactive, so for organising/collaborating on anything to do with the Blackadder articles it is pretty useless - I suspect most of the listed editors joined because they liked the series, but weren't really interested in actually improving the articles; it was never really a fully active project, and the main page has barely changed since it was started. It's sometimes useful for talk page notifications and so forth, but only because I keep a watchlist eye on it. Is there precident in deleting an inactive Wikiprojects, or are they usually kept for reference? Bob talk 00:53, 24 March 2011 (UTC)

::No, not necessary, this was attempted to become a task force of WP:BBC or WP:TV, but it did not happen. I think most of the WikiProjects can be demoted to a task force of to a large WikiProjects like WikiProject Television. I that case, I don't think that its much lost, since the first mfd. If this WikiProject doesn't be come a task force WP:TV, I think its much likely get deleted or tagged as inactive like WP:BUFFY and WP:24. JJ98 (Talk) 07:34, 24 March 2011 (UTC)

:::It's not entirely clear what your argument is above, I'm afraid. I do wonder is why it's so massively important to delete inactive Wikiprojects. After all, if it was Wikipedia disc space you are trying to save, then these multiple deletion discussions will linger around forever taking up as much space as the project pages themselves. I don't really mind either way, but I was just wondering what deleting multiple old Wikiprojects will achieve in the long run except redlinks, orphaned templates, etc?
