- Comment As Kiev was a Varyag holding, and the capital of its empire, what was the Nordic name of the place, since the Varyag were Viking. -- 65.94.171.126 (talk) 05:46, 20 July 2014 (UTC)
- Kiev was not Varangian holding. Ruling dynasty of Kievan Rus' was of Varangian ancesty, although apparently even they used Slavic language, and no mention of Norse languages appear in chronicles. Anyway, Varangians definitely did not spell the name of Kiev like this, because at that time they used runic alphabet. — Dmitrij D. Czarkoff (talk•track) 09:41, 20 July 2014 (UTC)

Not sure what it means, if anytrhing, certainly not notable. TheChampionMan1234 07:13, 19 July 2014 (UTC)
- Keep: redirects don't require notability, they need only not be misleading or meaningless, and deleting them actually uses up more bandwidth than keeping them see WP:CHEAP.AioftheStorm (talk) 18:56, 19 July 2014 (UTC)
- Delete per WP:R#DELETE criterion 8: obscure neologism with no established meaning. In search results I mostly see the meaning "associated with Korea in some way", which should not be covered on Wikipedia per WP:NOTDICT. In a mean time, this redirect facilitates accidential wikilinking of unencyclopedic term. — Dmitrij D. Czarkoff (talk•track) 22:27, 19 July 2014 (UTC)
- delete per Czarkoff's argument. I found essentially the same thing, with the only consistent meaning occurring in the phrase "anti-koreanism", which this redirect can't deal with. Mangoe (talk) 01:26, 20 July 2014 (UTC)
