• Keep, "Melania" isn't a common name, so we should be a little more lax as to what we allow. 160 pageviews over the last 90 days puts this into the realm of plausible as far as typos go. It's actually not that hard to imagine how someone could make this sort of typo; "Melania" is an unusual enough name to North American English speakers that I can easily see people being incorrect about how it's actually spelled (or even knowing how to spell it correctly but mistyping it anyway because their fingers were working a bit faster than their brains), and as Tavix demonstrates above there really are real-world examples of it really happening. • According to [https://www.babycenter.com/baby-names-donald-1357.htm this site] the name "Donald" as a baby name has risen 74 spots since 2015 but [https://www.babycenter.com/baby-names-melania-33295.htm "Melania"] has dropped, I don't 100% trust the accuracy of this site, but I don't get how this is inconsistent, however, I agree it is not a common name at least currently, but I expect it to get more popular, also [https://www.babycenter.com/baby-names-ivanka-82365.htm "Ivanka"] has hugely risen. As with Wikipedia:Redirects for discussion/Log/2016 October 16#VF2477, this is an unnecessary and unhelpful redirect from the call sign of a specific low-power radio transmitter to a broad overview article about the general concept of radio call signs in Canada — the article certainly provides a general explanation of what "VF" stations are, but the target contains no information at all about this VF station in particular. Which means the redirect is virtually pointless, because in the remarkably unlikely event that anybody actually searches for this at all the target isn't going to tell them anything about it. User {{ul|Herostratus}} posted about this redirect at WT:NOT some time ago and didn't get any input, so they boldly redirected the shortcut to its current target. This has broken some old discussions, but "fixed" others, however its historical use as a shortcut to NOT seems as though it ought to be preferred. • I checked that the only links were to discussions, mostly archived discussions. I wouldn't worry too much about letting archived discussions control our actions going forward. "Wikipedia Isn't" is too much of a stretch IMO. IMO having a redirect that is so non-obvious is more confusing than helpful, and a net negative. • Withdrawn - assuming there to be consensus for the change(s) I have gone ahead and done them. I went through the "what links here" for WP:WI, where there are a series of discussions which I think don't need to be corrected (it's just a shortcut) but there are also a handful of lists scattered about where users have tried to compile lists of the two-letter shortcuts which provided a link with context indicating it linked to this policy, which it no longer does; I removed those entries. I've also added a hatnote at Wikipedia:WikiProject Wisconsin regarding the shortcut. {{yo|Herostratus}} I noticed while doing this that you've changed some other two-letter shortcuts with historical usage (WP:MI, at least) which I'm sure is fine, but I think you should do these checks for any others that you've retargeted. Per Cardinal (Catholic Church)#Title_and_reference_style, Cardinals sign by placing the title "Cardinal" (abbreviated Card.) after their personal name and before their surname as, for instance, "John Card(inal) Doe". Some sources also recommend that format when referring to them in English, tho this appears not to be the majority view. It is surprising that the nominator appears not to have checked this before making the nomination.
  Additionally, this name format is more widely-used than the nominator claims. ::I don't think that follows: the stats and links seem to show that very few (if any) people, render Dusseldorf-Pempelfort as Duesseldorf-Pempelfort when searching or linking. The whole premiss of these Eubot redirects is that "anything with a 'ü' can be transliterated as 'ue'"; I don't accept that premiss (even for German ones) when there's a well-established anglicised form. In this case, the anglicised form of "Düsseldorf" is {{-r|Dusseldorf}}, not {{-r|Duesseldorf}}. When we have place-names that have been truly anglicised, I don't think it's helpful to keep them in some bastardized half-German, half-English variant. It's a different matter for place-names that have not gone native, which are the vast majority.

Valve, the developers behind Team Fortress 2 are infamous for never releasing 3rd installments for their franchises, and since Overwatch has similarities to Team Fortress 2 in terms of art style and gameplay, some gamers think of it as a spiritual successor to Team Fortress 2, despite being made by a different company. ::::While in German, ö>oe is standard and sometimes used for indexing in a way it isn't in Swedish, one will still on occasion see oe, ae and aa (for å) used in Swedish, mostly when there are technical limitations (as in the early years of the internet; I remember using these spellings in the 90s when writing e-mail through a system that couldn't handle the letters with diacritics, and I wasn't alone in doing this). There are also Swedish surnames that use ae or oe; this was originally probably limited to latinized, "learned" names, such as Læstadius or Thermænius (which may be written with or without the ligature, dependent on technical limitations and personal preference) or names of families of Danish origin, but one does see ae or æ used in names with a Swedish etymology, such as Bæckström (=Bäckström), where it is a purely cosmetic issue (like using the spelling Smythe for Smith), although no doubt often of significance to the identity of the family or individual in question.

(Eubot). I have come over with a dose of the Windischgratzes here. This is a mix of German ("Ernst"), English, and English transliteration of German ("Lueneburg"). We have forty-seven more redirects to this target, which I'll argue is far too many. (It's not a question of WP:RCHEAP, it's a question of "clutter": having forty-seven different ways to refer to the same person in an article encourages editors to be inconsistent: and things like elision and so on are what pipes are for).
