Revolt of the Angels is mentioned in the target, but redirecting the title of a novel to the genre to which it belongs is unusual and not especially helpful. Anatole France was a Nobel laureate and this book has an article at the French Wikipedia, so it's very likely to be notable in its own right, in which case WP:RDEL #10 applies. – Arms & Hearts (talk) 22:38, 16 June 2020 (UTC)

  • Before this was nominated that article didn't exist, having been created at this location by Serial Number 54129 and then moved to the current location. Deleting a redirect only bfd with no links, has been the target of several redirects due to target articles becoming redirected themselves, too many degrees of separation to be linked to the X Factor franchise and not notable for their own article. Ajf773 (talk) 00:33, 9 June 2020 (UTC)

  • Delete. This redirect is harmful, as its existence makes readers think that the target page contains information about Derry, even though it doesn't. This redirect disappoints and confuses readers. Not a very active user (talk) 04:23, 17 June 2020 (UTC)

  • Delete Tornadoes do happen in some parts of my country, though it's very rare. Water spouts are more common than the land-based tornadoes. That said though, I don't see why this redirect should exist, as the Tagalog term is not used in the article or any other English papers in a non-Philippine context. It's not like tsunami, a Japanese term, that is borrowed and used primarily to describe waves caused by a displacement in water bodies. --Pandakekok9 (talk) 08:06, 17 June 2020 (UTC)

However, it seems that the author of this redirect created this {{teal|so that the Pakistan flag template points to an existing page about Pakistan}}. I'm not sure what they mean about the "Pakistan flag template" though.   • Retarget to Islam in Pakistan. ‘Islamic Pakistan’ does sound redundant as Pakistan is, in fact, an Islamic country. It appears to refer to the Islamic culture and norms of Pakistan as compared with its present or past non-Islamic aspects. A common person could search for ‘Islamic Pakistan’ and expect to be redirected to ‘Islam in Pakistan’. Idell (talk) 12:01, 9 June 2020 (UTC)

  • Keep per Rosguill. There's no harm in redirecting redundancies if the redundancy is a plausible search term and a sensible target exists. Sonic678's analogy doesn't quite hold up, since the United States, unlike Pakistan, is officially a secular state – "Islamic Pakistan" has a formal existence that "Christian America" lacks (and the equivalent of Christian American would be Muslim Pakistani, not Islamic Pakistan). – Arms & Hearts (talk) 22:45, 16 June 2020 (UTC)
