:222.233.205.83 has been blocked recently for trolling. And Wikimachine has been blocked before for using an IP address to vandalize.--Endroit 18:20, 2 September 2006 (UTC)

  • If people are logging out (or forgetting to login) and then making the same edits that's obvious and you don't need a check. Do you also allege that the named accounts are controlled by the same person (independent of the IP addresses)? Mackensen (talk) 01:28, 5 September 2006 (UTC)

Although ALL of these users are disruptive, I know my evidences are sketchy. So first let me cross out the ones which have slightly different edit patterns. (Feel free to add them back in if they happen to be related, though.)

Recently, the following users (and IPs) caused visible disruption, and they appear to be anti-Japanese and/or anti-Korean in nature. I would like to know if they are related to each other, and if they have any other related accounts:

  • {{checkuser|Corean2006}} - Comments [http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=User_talk:Mackan&diff=prev&oldid=73417200 here] and [http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=User:Corean2006&diff=prev&oldid=73410124 here] appear to be negatively motivated against Japanese people, and most of his [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Contributions/Corean2006 edits] were in the form "X came from Korea" (but unfounded) and had to be reverted.
  • {{checkuser|Koreanonly}} - [http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Dokdo&oldid=73725885 Defaced] the title of Dokdo ([http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Dokdo&diff=prev&oldid=73725885 diff]).
  • {{checkuser|Appleby2}} - Username seems to be deliberately similar to banned user {{checkuser|Appleby}}. Came into co-existence together [http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Dokdo&offset=20060904091000&limit=09&action=history in this order]: [http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Dokdo&diff=73723235&oldid=73661517 UooooKorea], [http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Dokdo&diff=prev&oldid=73723589 Appleby2], [http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Dokdo&diff=prev&oldid=73723820 Koreanonly], and proceded to add many, many tags [http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Dokdo&oldid=73723820 as shown here].
  • {{checkip|222.233.205.83}} - Pretends to be a Japanese person, but is from a Korean IP address. Causing disruption by trolling, [http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Special:Log/block&page=User%3A222.233.205.83 blocked] for trolling.
  • {{checkip|222.233.205.158}} - Pretends to be a Japanese person, but is from a Korean IP address. Causing disruption by trolling, similar to above.

I suspect the following users (and IP) to be related to the above, but please correct me if I'm wrong, and rename the main user if necessary:

  • {{checkuser|Tyler111}} - This appears to be one of the main accounts recently, but there may be others. Excessive trolling in the Japan article. [http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Special:Log/block&page=User%3ATyler111 Blocked] for 3RR couple months ago, while (now banned) Appleby's sockpuppets were also actively revert warring in there.
  • {{checkip|4.23.83.100}} - This IP is used more often than Tyler111, which means when this IP is used, it doesn't appear to be by accident, it appears to be deliberate. Please check for other accounts against this IP if you can.
  • {{checkuser|Deiaemeth}} - I'm ADDING this user because: 1592 is mistyped as 1952, [http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Korea&diff=73706562&oldid=73688130 here in 4.23.83.100's edit] as well as in [http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Korea&diff=73882146&oldid=73879941 here in Deiaemeth's edit] (here are the [http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Korea&diff=73882146&oldid=73706562 diff's] between the 2). (Shows same editing style and/or revert-warring to an identical text.) Also, Tyler111's edit dates from July to September, overlaps with Deiaemeth's period of absence.

Please also check this list against previously banned {{checkuser|Appleby}}, just in case, although Tyler111 was already declared NOT a sockpuppet of Appleby. Deiaemeth and Appleby have been meatpuppets for a long time (if not sockpuppets).

If checkuser does not work here, may I ask you for suggestions on how to prevent disruption from these users? Otherwise I'm sure other editors would like to know who's behind the disruptions, and if any of the regular trollers are related. Thank you for your help.--Endroit 04:21, 5 September 2006 (UTC)

: I noticed this request and thought it might be worth noting that this isn't simply a case of "forgetting to log in" but more of using socks to get avoid policies. Here we can see an alternating pattern to avoid 3RR problems:
