It is clear that Buspar does in fact have a long history of using several sockpuppets for casting multiple votes and "ganging up" while arguing. See the first three example under evidence for "ganging up" to fight over an article's text and see the Okashina Okashi - Strange Candy deletion vote for vote rigging. It is clear he wrote an article about himself and then just switched usernames to write another one after it was deleted. Creating articles about your work is a no-no here. There's reason to believe this user is related to User:138.251.242.2, who was found to earlier to be engaged in harassment [http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Special:Log&type=block&page=User%3A138.251.242.2]. So this entire accusation may be a continuation of that harassment and should be taken with a grain of salt. A check user will show one of the three IP's listed above is the IP I use to edit when I forget to login. The other IP's and usernames will be found unrelated to this one. Contributions show obvious sock puppetry being used for edit warring and to hide WP:COI edits. There is no need for a checkuser to show that there are different IP addresses being used as that is also obvious from the three different IP adddresses listed. Note that two of the IP addresses (130.49.157.75 and 67.186.57.171) are both from Pittsburgh, and that John Baird/Xuanwu is listed on his Ron Paul Meetup page as "a grad student at the University of Pittsburgh."[http://ronpaul.meetup.com/1834/members/7044442/] --Dragonfiend (talk) 13:51, 25 September 2008 (UTC)

The account that started this SSP is, clearly, related to User:138.251.242.2.
Thanks for the confirmation of my suspicions. He's currently being looked at for block evading, since that IP was barred from creating accounts for 55 hours - during which this account was created. Buspar (talk) 23:47, 21 September 2008 (UTC)
However, there are a number of strange things going on with Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Okashina Okashi - Strange Candy. User:GarryKosmos made their first edit there for 8 months, and User:Winged Cat and the IP are extremely suspicious. (Though the data may be stale on those now).
Winged Cat is not me - you can use Checkuser to see. As I said, one of the IP's listed is mine when I forget to login, but it was not involved in that AfD discussion. A checkuser will tell you that other than that 1 IP, the others are not linked to me. I would ask you not reveal which is mine, since this user has a track record of harassment and could use that info for malicious purposes. Buspar (talk) 23:47, 21 September 2008 (UTC)

Looking at contribs, User:Buspar and User:Xuanwu are very probably the same user. Technically, they cannot be socks, as one username was created after the other stopped editing. However, the former voted on the AfD above, which is about an article involving the latter.
User:Buspar's userpage clearly states "I've been editing Wiki off and on with various user names since 2003. I don't like sticking with a user name too long, because I've found that people start reacting to the user name more than the quality of the edits after a bit."
