Welcome to the Applied Linguistics Task Force! This task force is a place for Wikipedia editors to collaborate on all articles related to applied linguistics. That includes articles on bilingualism and multilingualism, first and second language acquisition, psycholinguistics, neurolinguistics, language education, and more. We have a lot of ways in which you can help, so please have a look down the page, and get stuck in.
Getting started
If you want to help, here are some things that you can do right now:

=Tagging and assessment=
Any articles that are within the scope of this project need to be tagged with
. There are many reasons for tagging, the most important for us being that it gives other editors an easy way to keep track of the hundreds of applied linguistics articles that exist on Wikipedia. You should add the tags to the talk page of each individual article.
We also use the talk-page tags to give articles ratings for quality and for importance. This helps editors to identify the articles that most need improving, and is also used for the Wikipedia 1.0 project. For details of how to give ratings and what the different criteria are, please see the main project assessment page.
