Internment of Japanese Americans - Article name and terminology used in article text

Despite the consensus seeming to be in favour of keeping "internment" as the title of Internment of Japanese Americans, the article's text now solely uses the term "incarceration". Consistency between the two would be preferred, especially since the change to the article's text seems to have been made recently without discussion. Eldomtom2 (talk) 14:48, 1 March 2024 (UTC)

Naming conventions for Hmong Americans

Kou Yang is referred to in sources as "Dr. Yang" and "Yang" per American and English-language custom - but among Hmong he would go by Kou since the last name which is a clan name is very common (18 Hmong clans exist, so there are about 18 standard Hmong last names). I wrote the article body following the conventions of the sources but I am wondering if I should switch from "Yang" to "Kou" for better clarity, particularly when citing sources by someone of the same clan? I'm uncertain here and would appreciate input. Pingnova (talk) 00:53, 25 April 2025 (UTC)

[[Talk:Japanese-American Claims Act]]

I've made several suggestions for improving this article on the talk page history. In brief, it needs:

  1. all unsourced statements backed up with reliable sources,
  2. an information box,
  3. images of Japanese-Americans being taken to, or in, the concentration camps, and
  4. a contemporaneous photo of President Harry S Truman.

Thank you for your attention to this matter. Bearian (talk) 21:12, 9 May 2025 (UTC)
