Yaqub Salimov

Yaqub Salimov ({{langx|tg|Яъқуб Салимов}}, {{langx|fa|یعقوب سلیموف}}, {{langx|ru|Якуб Салимов}}) served as Minister of the Interior of Tajikistan from December 1993 to 1995.
Career

He was appointed Minister of Internal Affairs of Tajikistan in December 1993. Afterwards, he fled from Tajikistan but was arrested in Moscow in 2003 and extradited to Tajikistan.
On April 25, 2005, he received 15 years in prison sentence. Yaqub Salimov was released on June 21, 2016.
