The yellow tit (Machlolophus holsti), also known as Taiwan yellow tit and Formosan yellow tit is a species of bird in the family Paridae. It is endemic to central Taiwan.

Its natural habitat is montane temperate forest.

It has a restricted range and small population, and appears to be declining due to large-scale capture for export by the wild bird trade, so it is classed as Near Threatened by the IUCN.

The yellow tit was formerly one of the many species in the genus Parus but was moved to Machlolophus after a molecular phylogenetic analysis published in 2013 showed that the members of the new genus formed a distinct clade.{{ cite journal | last1=Johansson | first1=U.S. | last2=Ekman | first2=J. | last3=Bowie | first3=R.C.K. | last4=Halvarsson | first4=P. | last5=Ohlson | first5=J.I. | last6=Price | first6=T.D. | last7=Ericson | first7=P.G.P. | year=2013 | title=A complete multilocus species phylogeny of the tits and chickadees (Aves: Paridae) | journal=Molecular Phylogenetics and Evolution | volume=69 | issue=3 | pages=852–860 | doi=10.1016/j.ympev.2013.06.019 | pmid=23831453}}{{cite web| editor1-last=Gill | editor1-first=Frank | editor2-last=Donsker | editor2-first=David | title=Waxwings and their allies, tits & penduline tits | work=World Bird List Version 6.1 | url=http://www.worldbirdnames.org/bow/waxwings/ | publisher=International Ornithologists' Union| access-date= 15 February 2016 }}

Its length is 13 cm. The yellow tit is mostly yellow, with a crest. The crest and back are blackish blue-grey.{{cite book|last1=Brazil|first1=Mark|title=Birds of East Asia|date=2009|publisher=A&C Black|isbn=978-0-7136-7040-0|page=314|url=https://books.google.com/books?id=7-GgBoivL70C&pg=PA314}}
