Shiotsu signed as GAINER number 10 team's third driver alongside Riki Okusa and Ryuichiro Tomita.{{cite news|url=https://www.dailysportscar.com/2022/01/25/gainer-announces-2022-super-gt-drivers.html|title=Gainer Announces 2022 Super GT Drivers|date=25 January 2022|work=dailysportscar.com|access-date=25 January 2022}} He would then made his racing debut in Autopolis round as he replace Ryuichiro Tomita who prioritise on GT World Challenge Europe campaign.
