{{Short description|none}}
{{Use mdy dates|date=February 2025}}
This list ranks skyscrapers/high rise buildings and structures in the US State of California by height. Buildings and structures in seven cities are included in this list; Los Angeles, San Francisco, San Diego, Long Beach, Sacramento, Burbank and Oakland each have buildings taller than {{convert|400|ft}}.
The tallest building is the Wilshire Grand Center at {{convert|1100|ft}}. All of the buildings and structures taller than {{convert|500|ft}} are in Los Angeles and San Francisco. The tallest building in San Diego rises exactly 500 feet due to restrictions imposed by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) in the 1970s, because of the downtown's proximity to San Diego International Airport.{{Cite news|last=Bergman|first=Heather|title=San Diego's skyline grows up: residential towers filling some of the missing 'tools' as office projects are nearing completion|url=http://www.thefreelibrary.com/San+Diego%27s+skyline+grows+up%3a+residential+towers+filling+some+of+the...-a0134576016|work=San Diego Business Journal|date=June 27, 2005|accessdate=May 16, 2009|publisher=TheFreeLibrary.com}}{{Dead link|date=December 2024 |bot=InternetArchiveBot |fix-attempted=yes }}{{Cite web|title=Airport Land Use Compatibility Plan for San Diego International Airport|url=http://www.san.org/documents/aluc/SDIA_ALUCP.pdf|publisher=San Diego County Regional Airport Authority|pages=51–52|date=October 4, 2004|accessdate=May 16, 2009|archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20140630100212/http://www.san.org/documents/aluc/SDIA_ALUCP.pdf|archive-date=June 30, 2014|url-status=dead}}
