A hat-trick in cricket is when a bowler takes three wickets from consecutive deliveries. It is a relatively rare feat{{cite book |title=Cricket, Literature and Culture: Symbolising the Nation, Destabilising Empire |url=https://archive.org/details/cricketliteratur00bate |url-access=limited |last=Bateman |first=Anthony |page=[https://archive.org/details/cricketliteratur00bate/page/n100 88] |publisher=Ashgate Publishing |location=Farnham |year=2009 |isbn=978-0-7546-6537-3}} in women's international cricket.{{efn|Test,{{cite web |url=http://stats.espncricinfo.com/ci/content/records/498137.html |title=Records / Women's Test matches / Bowling records / Hat-tricks|publisher=ESPNcricinfo |access-date=15 February 2015}} One Day Internationals,{{cite web |url=https://www.espncricinfo.com/records/hat-tricks-936009|title=Records / Women's One-Day Internationals / Bowling records / Hat-tricks|publisher=ESPNcricinfo|access-date=15 February 2015}} and Twenty20 Internationals.{{cite web |url=http://stats.espncricinfo.com/ci/content/records/581290.html |title=Records / Women's Twenty20 Internationals / Bowling records / Hat-tricks |publisher=ESPNcricinfo |access-date=15 February 2015}}|name=combined}} The first hat-trick was taken in a Test match between Australia and England in February 1958, by Australia's Betty Wilson.{{cite web |url=http://www.cricketcountry.com/articles/betty-wilson-becomes-first-cricketer-to-score-century-and-take-10-wickets-in-a-test-match-102213 |title=Betty Wilson becomes first cricketer to score century and take 10 wickets in a Test match |last=Mukherjee |first=Sudatta |publisher=Cricket Country |date=24 February 2014 |access-date=16 February 2015}} Two further hat-tricks have been taken in women's Tests; by Pakistan's Shaiza Khan in 2004, and Australia's Rene Farrell in 2011. The first hat-trick in women's One Day Internationals was taken by Carole Hodges during the 1993 Women's Cricket World Cup.

In September 2019, against the West Indies, Megan Schutt became the first female bowler to take two hat-tricks in international cricket.{{cite web|url=https://www.cricket.com.au/news/megan-schutt-second-international-hat-trick-australia-west-indies-odi-video/2019-09-12 |title=Schutt makes history with maiden ODI hat-trick |work=Cricket Australia |access-date=11 September 2019}}
