Mucrocetin is a snake venom platelet-agglutinating factor, that acts in a vWF-independent manner. It binds specifically to platelet GPIbalpha (GP1BA) to a distinct binding site from that of flavocetin-A. It is isolated from the venom of Taiwan habu (Protobothrops mucrosquamatus).{{cite journal | vauthors = Huang KF, Ko TP, Hung CC, Chu J, Wang AH, Chiou SH | title = Crystal structure of a platelet-agglutinating factor isolated from the venom of Taiwan habu (Trimeresurus mucrosquamatus) | journal = The Biochemical Journal | volume = 378 | issue = Pt 2 | pages = 399–407 | date = March 2004 | pmid = 14613481 | doi = 10.1042/BJ20031507 | pmc = 1223962 }}

It is related to the C-type lectins.
