Hobbies

=Hummingbirds=

During peak season, I have put out up to {{convert|35|lbs|kg}} of sugar as nectar a week. That would feed an estimated 1,600 birds full time. I suspect maybe 500 full time birds and 3,000-5,000 visiting to "tank up" before night. Mostly Anna's with Rufous Hummingbird in the spring, Black-chinned and Costa's in the fall. Also seem to be developing a full-time colony of Allen's
