Blocked
I've blocked you. You do not appear to be here to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. The main reason for this block is because of you creating a new article with content taken from Amazon, which is a very serious legal problem. You are also causing disruption because of your edits, such as moving the Random Article Button back into the template namespace despite the MfD which was closed with the intention you move the content to your userspace rather than it be deleted. Your edits to Ignore All Rules is problematic and the fact you have made no useful edits to the mainspace recently leave me with the impression you are not here to contribute to the encyclopedia, but to play with items in your userspace. You were given warning yesterday and before that this was coming, yet you choose to continue playing with Wikipedia. I and I assume my fellow administrators would much rather be writing content or uploading photographs instead of having to follow you around and tidy up after you, which is unfair on those of us who are here to contribute constructively and with minimum fuss. Nick (talk) 22:04, 16 March 2008 (UTC)
: It has also come to my attention that you have vandalised from your IP address, then reverted your own vandalism with your account, presumably to build your edit count. This is in direct contravention of the sockpuppetry policy. Please consider that a further couple of reasons why you are now blocked. One such incident took place on March 11, to the "Today's Featured Article" (John Knox). Nick (talk) 22:27, 16 March 2008 (UTC)

Am I? Nothing444 00:01, 17 March 2008 (UTC)
:If you can't come up with a reason for unblocking that addresses the reasons for blocking, probably. Mr.Z-man 00:11, 17 March 2008 (UTC)
{{unblock reviewed|I wanted to contribute more to Wikipedia, but I can't now that I'm blocked. All I'm trying to do is make Wikipedia a better encyclopedia an a better place.|decline=This reason does not justify unblocking you, when I weigh it up against the block summary above. If you can explain the sockpuppetry/vandalism and give a good reason why I should ignore it, then I may consider it. Daniel (talk) 23:32, 16 March 2008 (UTC)}}
Indef block seems a little extreme
Nick definitely makes some strong points, and obviously a block is in order for restoring a page deleted by an MfD and all the rest. I think that indefinite is a bit strong for a first block. Is a block of, say, two weeks a possible compromise? It seems to me that Nothing444 means well--good intentions don't count for everything, no, but perhaps they merit a second chance. And N444, if the block is shortened, please consider yourself to be on probation and make some regular contributions. Recent changes patrol is a great place to start. A shorter block, whether by Nick or another admin, would not be an endorsement of your habits of continually starting new Wikiprojects and editing WP:IAR, but a chance to start over as a calmer editor willing to walk before he runs. Darkspots (talk) 02:28, 17 March 2008 (UTC)

Daniel (talk) 04:50, 17 March 2008 (UTC)
:I'm open to suggestions, but the content contributions have consisted of creating new articles (Children of the Longhouse) by copying text from Amazon.com (that article will need to be deleted or re-written at some point, of course). I don't mind unblocking if there's a change in behaviour, and to that end, I would strongly suggest Nothing444 starts to write content here on their talk page, if they wish to be unblocked in the future. I certainly don't wish to keep someone who would wish to write content blocked indefinitely. Nick (talk) 07:58, 17 March 2008 (UTC)
::I think all us Wikipedians have the right to change. I am going to start writing real content on Wikipedia if unblocked. I am going to change. I have a little to much on userspace, so If I get unblocked, I will contribute to the real encyclopedia. Nothing444 19:49, 17 March 2008 (UTC)

I notice that you still wish to be unblocked, I suggest that you pick one of the articles above, copy the page onto this talk page and begin editing it. If you show that you're willing to contribute to the encyclopedia (not your userspace nor various wikiprojects) then we can review your block. Nick (talk) 01:24, 20 March 2008 (UTC)
:Hmm.... Infamy, Wikipedia Watch, and Portuguese Wikipedia looks like giid articles that I can get my hands on. So, are you going to unblock me so I can edit them? --Nothing444 02:07, 20 March 2008 (UTC)

:::I too would like to see you unblocked. I think that to the new Long Island project you started to put together could be a good place to start. If you want to be unblocked, a good article for you to polish would be the one on your home town. If you're from Long Island, there's a ton of history available the hasn't yet made it's way into some of the smaller town articles. Good luck, and I'm routing for you! – ClockworkSoul 19:02, 20 March 2008 (UTC)
Please list the mainspace edits you wish to make and/or create a draft here on the talk page as mentioned above, if you want us to consider lifting the block. VegaDark (talk) 21:39, 20 March 2008 (UTC)

::I don't know when I'll be ready. Could you unblock me now? Nothing444 22:16, 20 March 2008 (UTC)
:::Normally you would be required to make those changes to this page, but I've decided to give you the benefit of the doubt and unblock you now. Please stick to making productive edits only to article pages for a while to build up your credibility. Once you do that for a couple of weeks, you should be fine. Good luck! – ClockworkSoul 22:32, 20 March 2008 (UTC)

Hi, and welcome to the Red Sox WikiProject! We are a group of (mainly) Red Sox fans who help to improve coverage related to the Boston Red Sox on Wikipedia.
Looking for somewhere to start? Here are a few suggestions.
- You can check out topics on the main page.
- You can add {{tl|WikiProject Boston Red Sox}} to talk pages of Boston Red Sox-related articles, and assess them as well.
- Check out the to do list for the WikiProject, and opt to try and complete some of those tasks.
If you have any comments, suggestions, or would like to talk about the project in general, feel free to leave a message on the talk page.
Well, Well, Well
I see your page is back. I was wondering if I could be your co-adopter. During our last encounter, I only had 1150+. Now I have 1800+. I have also improved my userpage a little. I know this is kind of sudden but do you accept? You really don't have to. BTW, I also improved my signature.--RyRy5 talk 04:48, 21 March 2008 (UTC)
: Heya, Nothing! Glad to see you're out and about. Just a little note on one Wikipedia unwritten rule. It seems trivial, but it's a biggie: it's traditional not to [http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=User_talk:Nothing444&curid=12116558&diff=200144513&oldid=200135226 change other people's talk comments], even for typos and grammar, and even on your own talk page. I know how counter-intuitive that may seem with us being on a wiki and all, but it's comfortably close to changing the content of people's comments, and that's... well... really bad. Just a heads up :) Hope all is going well! – ClockworkSoul 20:51, 22 March 2008 (UTC)

Adminisratation
I really need to think about that. Why do you want to nominate me?--RyRy5 talk 23:10, 21 March 2008 (UTC)
:Normally, I would accept but...I think I need some thinking first. I'll tell you if I'm ready or not. I'm really honored that you think I'm a good editer. I'll ask other people for their opinions.--RyRy5 talk 23:20, 21 March 2008 (UTC)
::Umm...What do you mean by that. Do you mean instaed of American Idol, you changed it to Administation Idol?--RyRy5 talk 00:56, 22 March 2008 (UTC)

Re:Rollback
I'm sorry, I can't give you rollback rights so soon after a block. You can, however, use twinkle and other tools to help rollback vandalism edits. If you contact me in around one month, I will activate rollback on your account.
Know this: declining your request has nothing to do with you. In a little while it will be safe to give you rollback rights, but right now I cannot. Sorry again, Malinaccier (talk) 01:17, 22 March 2008 (UTC)
:After about one month of good behavior. You can use other tools like Twinkle to supplement for now. Malinaccier (talk) 01:23, 22 March 2008 (UTC)

Thank you for uploading :Image:Antiflame-barnstar.png. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 15:07, 22 March 2008 (UTC)
Nomination
You must really want to nominate me. I'm going to have to say......No. I decided to try admin coaching first. My plans for adminship are when I have 5000+ edits and when I have been at wikipedia for at least 3-5 months. I'm going to try the RFA around the beggining of summer, you can nominate me then. Also, Stormtracker94 is also going to nominate me then too.

Scouting
Well, most of it is in the Scouting Office. OK, umm...Go to the mainpage, go to the scouting report on the left side. Click on edit next to the Report section. Put as a report that Nothing444 has joined the scouting business, then sign it. Any questions?--RyRy5 talk 16:06, 22 March 2008 (UTC)

Well, I forgot to give you the welcome so read this:
default WikiProject Boston Red Sox

Hi, and welcome to the Scouting Business! The scouts here to monitor all members of the Red Sox WikiProject. We then add any information that we find to the Scouting Report on the main page. The whole scouting business is used so everyone else can see what and how the WikiProject is doing. If you scout often and if you add numerous reports to the main page, a manager will be sure to promote you.
Looking for somewhere to start or do you have nothing to do? Here are a few things you can do:
- Monitor member's contributions using the members list at the Scouting Office, and if you find a report, add it to the Scouting Report at the main page.
- Invite other people to join the WikiProject by adding {{tl|WP BOSOX INVITE}} on their talk page so that you can monitor more people.
If you have any comments, suggestions, or would like to talk about the scouting business in general, feel free to leave a message on the Office's talk page or ask the founder of the scouting business on RyRy5's talk page.
:Your welcome. Also, if you scout alot, you may get promoted. Also again, are you thinking of becoming an admin?
::I tried becoming an admin when I first joined too, but I didn't even know how to nominate myself, so I gave upwithout even running. I then joined the WikiProject Red Sox. So, what's your edit count? Oops, forgot to sign.--RyRy5 talk 16:41, 22 March 2008 (UTC)
:::Looks Cool! I already knew about it though. I guess you can say I was spying on yours and Oreo's talk pages. I even asked him to make a logo for me. About your edit count. It's only about 750 less than mine. I still remember when I asked to adopt you the first time and I only had 1061edits. Now I have about 2050 edits. Oh, and can I adopt you now?--RyRy5 talk 16:49, 22 March 2008 (UTC)
