Variable dwarf kingfisher is a common name of a group of kingfishers in the genus, Ceyx.

The variable dwarf kingfisher (Ceyx lepidus or Alcedo lepidus) formerly included 15 subspecies.{{cite book | last1=Fry | first1=C.
