USRD Inactivity check and news report
Hello, MPD01605. We had a few urgent matters to communicate to you:
- Please update your information at Wikipedia:WikiProject U.S. Roads/Participants, our new centralized participant list. Those who have not done so by October 20th will be removed.
- There are important discussions taking place at WT:USRD relating to whether WP:USRD, WP:HWY, or the state projects should hold the "power" in the roads projects.

Replaceable fair use Image:01102006_BridgeOpening.jpg
Image:Nuvola apps important.svg
Thanks for uploading :Image:01102006_BridgeOpening.jpg. I noticed the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:
- Go to the image description page and edit it to add {{tlx|di-replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template.
- On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or a similar) image under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on [{{fullurl:Special:Contributions|target={{PAGENAMEE}}&namespace=6}} this link]. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, fair use images which could be replaced by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if not used in an article), per our Fair Use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Calliopejen1 18:16, 7 October 2007 (UTC)

Thank you for inadvertently reminding me with [http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Virginia_State_Route_37&diff=165785027&oldid=155462242 this edit] that I've left many Virginia articles in a horrible state. I'll see what I can do with others; are there any you'd particularly like to see taken care of? --NE2 21:57, 20 October 2007 (UTC)
:Thank you; once I finish with SR 40 I may try either of those two. Either one might be rather interesting, since they were built by the federal government to serve the Pentagon. For I-74, do you mean the signing plans? They're referenced in some of the sections of [http://www.duke.edu/~rmalme/prog74.html], though the URLs given don't always work. --NE2 04:05, 24 October 2007 (UTC)

Elon Notable Alumni
Hello. I noticed that you reverted this [http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Elon_University&oldid=175616543 edit] of mine to the Elon University article's alumni section as non-notable. I apologize for de-alphabetizing the list. However, the additions made (Jo Craven McGinty, a Pulitzer Prizer winner, Marjorie Hunter, a New York Times reporter, and Donna Oliver, 1987 National Teacher of the Year) are well-sourced, and I would consider them notable. What say you? — aegreen (talk • email) 03:24, 19 December 2007 (UTC)

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:ElonPhoenix.JPG
Thanks for uploading :Image:ElonPhoenix.JPG. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 20:32, 13 February 2008 (UTC)

Speedy deletion of [[:Euer Saddle]]
Image:Ambox warning_pn.svg A tag has been placed on :Euer Saddle requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, "See also" section, book reference, category tag, template tag, interwiki link, rephrasing of the title, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. Latics (talk) 01:12, 23 September 2008 (UTC)

Minor routes discussion
Here is a summary of what has been going on at WT:USRD the past few days: Hurricanehink brouught up a concern with New Jersey Route 180, a GA I had promoted about a 3-mile-long former state route that is a former alignment of NJ 72 and thought it should be merged into a list for minor routes or into the NJ 72 article. NE2 then nominated NJ 180 for a GAR. From there, Hurricanehink brought up more short NJ GA's by Mitchazenia. I suggested that a list for minor and former routes for New Jersey be created to reduce the amount of articles on very short routes and former/unbuilt routes that do not have a lot to say about them. NE2 opposed the idea of a list of minor routes since there is no rationale of what constituted a "minor" route. Both Davemeistermoab and Ljthefro agreed that a list was okay if it had a purpose, such as the list for Utah routes serving state parks and institutions. I then stated what should be done to the list of "minor" routes for other states, and NE2 suggested that they be broken up into individual articles, merged into other routes where possible. File source problem with File:Future 640.PNG
Thank you for uploading :File:Future 640.PNG. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of that website's terms of use of its content. However, if the copyright holder is a party unaffiliated from the website's publisher, that copyright should also be acknowledged.
If you have uploaded other files, consider verifying that you have specified sources for those files as well. You can find a list of files you have created [{{fullurl:Special:Log|type=upload&user=MPD01605}} in your upload log]. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged per Wikipedia's criteria for speedy deletion, F4. If the image is copyrighted and non-free, the image will be deleted 48 hours after 15:34, 25 July 2010 (UTC) per speedy deletion criterion F7. If you have any questions or are in need of assistance please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 15:34, 25 July 2010 (UTC)
