Diary of the season
In May 2019, the referee scored a goal for HSV Hoek against Harkemase Boys in the fourth tier.{{cite news|url=https://www.sportinglife.com/football/news/watch-referee-scores-a-goal/166996|title=Referee accidentally scores a goal in Holland... and it counts|date=26 May 2019}} The goal was all the more noteworthy because it occurred on the last weekend possible before rules changes came into effect from 1 June to stop this kind of activity on the part of the referee.{{cite news|url=https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/48382254|title=Football's new laws: Backpasses, penalties, handballs and subs|work=BBC Sport|date=1 June 2019}}
