The 34th NAACP Image Awards, presented by the NAACP, honored outstanding representations and achievements of people of color in motion pictures, television, music, and literature during the 2002 calendar year. The ceremony was hosted by Cedric the Entertainer and took place on March 8, 2003, at the Universal Amphitheatre in Los Angeles. Nominations

The nominations were announced on December 5, 2002, at The Pacific Design Center in Hollywood, California.
