Anthony Mendleson

Anthony Mendleson (7 February 1915 – 5 September 1996) was a British costume designer. His accolades include two BAFTA Awards, in addition to nominations for two Academy Awards. He is best known for creating the costumes for Ealing Studios in the 1940s and 1950s, and for Pinewood Studios in the 1960s and 1970s. These include such notable films as Kind Hearts and Coronets (1949), The Lavender Hill Mob (1951), and The Ladykillers (1955).
