The diesel engine-electric train has a top speed of {{convert|110|km/h|lk=on}}. It has 370 seats, with a total capacity of 878 passengers.

The Russian railways company began operation of the unit in 2009 on the Saint Petersburg - Pskov route, "Pleskov."
