Joseph Ernest Cyr (September 4, 1854 – April 12, 1929) was a Canadian politician.{{Canadian Parliament links|ID=15903|nolist=yes}}

Born in Montreal, Quebec, the son of Michel Cyr and Mary-Louise Moquin, Cyr was educated at St. Laurent College near Montreal. He moved to St. Boniface, Manitoba in 1882{{cite book |url=https://archive.org/details/canadianparliame00montuoft |title=The Canadian Parliament; biographical sketches and photo-engravures of the senators and members of the House of Commons of Canada. Being the tenth Parliament, elected November 3, 1904 |accessdate=2012-10-05}} and was mayor in 1885. A notary, he was elected to the Legislative Assembly of Manitoba in an 1883 by-election held following the death of Alexander Kittson.{{cite book |url=https://archive.org/details/cihm_58886 |title=A political manual of the province of Manitoba and the North-west Territories |publisher=Call printing Company |last=Robertson |first=John Palmerston |year=1887 |pages=[https://archive.org/details/cihm_58886/page/n121 92]–94 |accessdate=2012-10-05}} Cyr was defeated when he ran for reelection to the Manitoba assembly in 1888. In 1910, Cyr was named Superintendent of Dominion Public Works in Winnipeg.

He married Adelaide Cesarine Senez in 1875.
