{{Short description|None}}

{{Use mdy dates|date=March 2021}}

This is a list of aromantic characters in fiction, i.e. fictional characters that either self-identify as aromantic or have been identified by outside parties to be aromantic. Listed characters may also be asexual or allosexual (not asexual). Some aromantic people are asexual but some are not.{{cite news |first=Josh |last=Salisbury |url=https://www.theguardian.com/lifeandstyle/2017/oct/11/meet-the-aromantics-not-cold-dont-have-romantic-feelings-sex |title=Meet the aromantics: 'I'm not cold – I just don't have any romantic feelings' | Life and style |newspaper=The Guardian |access-date=April 15, 2018 |archive-date=April 7, 2021 |archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20210407054453/https://www.theguardian.com/lifeandstyle/2017/oct/11/meet-the-aromantics-not-cold-dont-have-romantic-feelings-sex |url-status=live }} The term aromantic can be used in relation to various sexual identities, such as aromantic bisexual, aromantic heterosexual, aromantic lesbian, aromantic gay man, or aromantic asexual, but it does not relate to sexual orientation, instead focusing on romantic orientation.{{cite book |editor=Miller SJ |chapter=Glossary of Terms: Defining a Common Queer language |title=Teaching, Affirming, and Recognizing Trans and Gender Creative Youth |pages=299–309 |location=London |publisher=Palgrave Macmillan |date=2016 |doi=10.1057/978-1-137-56766-6 |isbn=978-1-137-56766-6 |s2cid=156912799 |chapter-url=https://link.springer.com/content/pdf/bbm%3A978-1-137-56766-6%2F1.pdf |access-date=April 24, 2020 |archive-date=October 9, 2022 |archive-url=https://ghostarchive.org/archive/20221009/https://link.springer.com/content/pdf/bbm%3A978-1-137-56766-6%2F1.pdf |url-status=live }} Aromanticism primarily deals with romantic attraction rather than with sexuality. Peridot

| Steven Universe

| {{sort|2015/01/08|January 8, 2015}}

| Based on the gemstone peridot, Peridot is a member of an alien species known as gems. Gems are able to "fuse" with one another into singular, gestalt entities known as fusions. However, Peridot is actively disinterested in fusing. According to storyboard artist Maya Petersen, this story element is a metaphor for asexuality and aromanticism, even though she said her word is not "the ultimate authority" on the matter.
