Mecysmaucheniidae is a family of araneomorph spiders first described by Eugène Simon in 1895.{{cite book| last=Simon| first=E.| year=1895|title=Histoire naturelle des araignées| doi=10.5962/bhl.title.51973 }} Most genera occur in South America (Chile and Argentina), with two genera endemic to New Zealand.
