If you have a source that you would like to add to the spam-whitelist, but you are uncertain that it meets Wikipedia's guideline on reliability, please ask for opinions on the Reliable sources noticeboard, to confirm that it does meet that guideline, before submitting your whitelisting request here. In your request, link to the confirming discussion on that noticeboard.

Likewise, if you have an external link that you are uncertain meets Wikipedia's guideline on external links, please get confirmation on the External links noticeboard before submitting your whitelisting request here.

If your whitelist request falls under one of these two categories, the admins will be more willing to have the source whitelisted if you can achieve consensus at one of the above noticeboards.

{{messagebox

|text=Add new entries at the bottom of this page. Completed requests will be marked with an appropriate Indicator then archived.

; Instructions to requesters:

  1. Explain why the site should be whitelisted.
  2. Explain which articles would benefit from the addition of the link.
  3. Provide the specific link to the page you're requesting be added.
  4. * Please use the basic URL so that there is no link (www.google.ca, not http://www.google.ca).
  5. * Please add a {{tlx|LinkSummary|example.org}} (replace example.org with the domain your specific url resides on, and remove the 'www.' part, and everything following the domain-name). This inserts a set of links that helps in finding relevant information and related discussion on the requested site.

If the above information is not provided, expect your request to be declined.

The Wayback archived version of this page includes data obtained from the New York City government about filming locations and dates for several movies. I had wanted to add it as a reference to the page of Now You See Me (film), but could be relevant to several films, so could be helpful to at least whitelist the Wayback archived version if possible. https://blogs.library.american.edu/mediaservices/2015/07/08/filming-permit-map-reveals-nycs-hotspots-in-film/ The page was a self-published website published by data journalist (at the time) who is also referenced elsewhere. https://www.weforum.org/stories/authors/max-galka/ https://www.poynter.org/tech-tools/2016/what-should-you-foia-this-guy-made-a-tool-to-help-you-figure-that-out/ https://www.niemanlab.org/2016/03/foia-mapper-aims-to-make-it-easier-for-journalists-to-know-where-to-look-for-public-documents/newsjunkie (talk) 10:40, 11 May 2025 (UTC)

  • For the following article: Colton Ford

I am editing the Colton Ford article after his passing on the 19th. His 2008 interview with About.com was one of his longest, and he went into details about his early life. For a former porn star, I rarely find comprehensive interviews like this. While About.com is still ambivalent in terms of reliability, I believe this interview is a useful addition to Ford's biography. Damian Vo (talk) 14:28, 23 May 2025 (UTC)

I am editing the Why We Love Dogs, Eat Pigs, and Wear Cows article to add an archived version of one of the references on Critical Reception. • For the following articles: Morgpie

Trying to add this as a reference for Awards section on Morgpie article; more specifically, through an archived version (https://web.archive.org/web/20230331093514/[insert WL requested link here]) for the 2023 nominations of the Pornhub Awards. Probably could prove useful for other pages as well. Thanks for any help. Soulbust (talk) 08:25, 16 June 2025 (UTC)

:@Soulbust, Is there no reliable sources that talk about/republish the awards ? I'd suggest using those instead if they are available. Sohom (talk) 14:22, 16 June 2025 (UTC)

::{{ping|Sohom Datta}} Yeah I tried looking for that on AVN's and XBIZ's websites. Could only find stories they published on the winners; she was nominated for 3 PH awards that year, winning one, so sourcing for the 2 other noms is needed. I found [https://altporn.net/news/2023/03/23/2023-pornhub-awards-nominees/ this from AltPorn.net] -- [https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?search=Altporn.net&title=Special%3ASearch&ns0=1 That site is used on some other articles] and I placed in the Morgpie article for now but I'm not too sure if it counts as an RS. The site has its own award ceremony actually, which I did find to be [https://www.xbiz.com/news/266571/2022-altporn-awards-nominees-announced covered by XBIZ], so maybe it does count as an RS? Either way, I figure the actual PH Awards Winners/Nominees archive would be otherwise suitable and appropriate to use here. Think it'd be worth to whitelist the specific URL just to have it be an easy source to use in future cases like this. Soulbust (talk) 14:34, 16 June 2025 (UTC)

wondersinspace.com

  • {{WLRequestLink|https://wondersinspace.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Smiley-face-conjunction-1.jpg}}
  • For the following articles: Conjunction_(astronomy)

A rare smiley face triple conjunction occurred this year in April. The Conjunction page has no mention of this. I want to add this image along with some other images captured from different locations by creating a '2025' year catalog under the 'Notable Conjunctions' section. I want to use this image in particular because this is the only image captured from South Asia and having images from different places helps astronomers and readers.

:{{Declined}}. Raw links to pictures are discouraged onwiki, they can be upload onwiki provided they are done in a way that is in compliance with WP:NFCC. --Sohom (talk) 12:27, 18 June 2025 (UTC)

::*{{WLRequestLink|https://www.wondersinspace.com/image-smiley-face-conjunction-april-2025/}}

::Oh, okay! I was unaware of it! @Sohom Datta You can maybe whitelist the article release of this image then so that I could use this data as well as the image for my edit! Prem 23g5 (talk) 15:26, 18 June 2025 (UTC)

:::There appear to be multiple other sources talking about the April 2025 conjunction like [https://www.elpasotimes.com/story/news/2025/04/24/see-saturn-and-venus-create-smiley-face-with-moon-april-25/83211825007/], [https://www.skyatnightmagazine.com/news/smiley-face-moon-venus-saturn-april-2025], [https://www.forbes.com/sites/jamiecartereurope/2025/04/24/when-to-see-a-celestial-smiley-face-in-the-night-sky-this-weekend/] which talk about it, some might not be RS, but they are better than a blacklisted site. Sohom (talk) 15:32, 18 June 2025 (UTC)

::::: Agree; The El Paso Times ref is a perfectly good source and as such there's no rationale for whitelisting anything from this site. OhNoitsJamie Talk 15:34, 18 June 2025 (UTC)

::::::@Sohom Datta, @Ohnoitsjamie This image helps astronomers study how the event appeared in different parts of the world. Since no confirmed images of this conjunction exist from Southern Asia (India), this photo is especially useful. I'm adding it to the "Notable Conjunctions" section of the Conjunction (astronomy) page by creating this years (2025) catalog. Additionally, this image has also been featured in [https://www.skyatnightmagazine.com/news/photograph-smiley-face-moon-venus-saturn-april-2025 BBC Sky at Night] and [https://skyandtelescope.org/online-gallery/the-smiley-face-planetary-conjunction-april-2025/ Sky & Telescope] magazines, stating that it is a good capture and is helpful and relevant. Other sources, like the El Paso Times, have used older images (the images that were not captured this year), making this one a more accurate and relevant choice for this year's (2025) smiley face conjunction. You overlooked that it's not about the reputation of the websites but about the relevance, and older images won't be relevant for my edit. And to be precise again, it's not about data but the image. I hope you got what I want to say! Prem 23g5 (talk) 16:01, 18 June 2025 (UTC)
