{{#section:1894 New South Wales colonial election|Results}}

The 1894 New South Wales colonial election was for 125 electoral districts, with each district returning one member. The election was conducted on the basis of a simple majority or first-past-the-post voting system. There were three significant changes from the 1891 election, the abolition of multi-member constituencies, the abolition of plural voting where an elector had property or residence in more than one electorate and that polls for every district were held on the same day.{{cite web |url=http://www.atlas.nsw.gov.au/public/nsw/home/topic/article/1893-redistribution.html |title=1893 Redistribution |work=Atlas of New South Wales |publisher=NSW Land & Property Information |archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20150623031719/http://www.atlas.nsw.gov.au/public/nsw/home/topic/article/1893-redistribution.html |archive-date=23 June 2015 |url-status=dead}} The number of seats was reduced from 141 to 125.{{cite news |url=https://nla.gov.au/nla.news-article222121035 |title=Maps and sketches of proposed Electoral Districts |newspaper=New South Wales Government Gazette |date=23 August 1893 |access-date=12 April 2020 |page=6583 |via=Trove}}{{cite news |url=https://nla.gov.au/nla.news-article222197006 |title=Proclamation: names and boundaries of electoral districts |newspaper=New South Wales Government Gazette |date=5 October 1893 |access-date=12 April 2020 |page=7751 |via=Trove }} In this election, in 74 electorates the winning candidate received less than 50% of the votes, while 1 was uncontested.
