He is known for his work in various films and television.
Early life
Roberts was born in Hamilton, Ontario. He grew up in Edmonton, Alberta. Career
Roberts played Donald D'Arby in the series Traders,{{cite news|title=The passion and the politics|url=http://www.winnipegfreepress.com/arts-and-life/entertainment/TV/the-passion-and-the-politics-196658921.html|newspaper=Winnipeg Free Press|date=9 March 2013|accessdate=29 November 2016}} for which he was nominated for a Gemini Award.{{cite web|title=awards database|url=http://www.academy.ca/About-the-Academy/Awards-Database?flow=person&step=1&byp-award-v=0&byp-winners-v=False&byp-name-v=Rick+Roberts|website=academy.ca|accessdate=29 November 2016}} He moved briefly to Los Angeles in 1998 appearing in the CBS series L.A. Doctors alongside Ken Olin and Sheryl Lee. Roberts returned to Canada to star in An American in Canada, which ran for two seasons.
