Background
Throughout 2018, Yankovic performed concerts as part of his Ridiculously Self-Indulgent, Ill-Advised Vanity Tour. The tour saw Yankovic perform in small theaters and opera houses with sets focusing on his original songs and "style parodies." For the Strings Attached tour, Yankovic and his band performed with female backing singers and an orchestra. The orchestra was either a philharmonic or a collective of local musicians.{{Cite web|url=https://consequenceofsound.net/2018/11/weird-al-yankovic-strings-attached-tour/|title="Weird Al" Yankovic announces tour with full symphony orchestra [Updated]|date=2018-11-12|website=Consequence of Sound|language=en-US|access-date=2019-04-01}} The tour was announced in October 2018.{{Cite magazine|url=https://www.rollingstone.com/music/music-news/weird-al-yankovic-orchestra-tour-748465/|title='Weird Al' Yankovic To Tour With Orchestra in 2019|last=Greene|first=Andy|date=2018-10-29|magazine=Rolling Stone|language=en-US|access-date=2019-04-03}} Yankovic announced the tour dates on November 12, 2018.{{Cite web|url=https://www.facebook.com/weirdal/posts/10156550494286005|title="Weird Al" Yankovic|website=www.facebook.com|language=en|access-date=2019-04-01}}
Setlist
The following setlist was taken from [https://www.weirdal.com/archives/miscellaneous/set-lists/ www.weirdal.com]. Missing are arguably Yankovic's best-known parodies, "Eat It" and "Fat", both originally from Michael Jackson. Yankovic pulled the songs after the airing of the HBO documentary Leaving Neverland, in which two men alleged that Jackson sexually abused them as children.{{cite magazine|last=Graff|first=Gary|date=2019-06-27|title='Weird Al' Yankovic Explains His Decision to Drop Michael Jackson Parodies From Set List|url=https://www.billboard.com/articles/columns/rock/8517896/weird-al-yankovic-michael-jackson-parodies|magazine=Billboard|access-date=2019-06-29}}
