Synergus is a genus of gall wasp in the tribe Synergini. It is found worldwide. Species in Synergus are generally inquilines, which means they use the galls of other species of gall wasps.{{Cite journal |last1=Xiudan |first1=Wang |last2=Luan |first2=Liu |last3=Yang |first3=Zeng |date=2024-02-29 |title=Discovery of a new species of Synergus (Hymenoptera, Cynipidae, Synergini) based on morphology and molecular data |journal=ZooKeys |issue=1193 |pages=81–94 |doi=10.3897/zookeys.1193.105756 |doi-access=free |issn=1313-2970 |pmc=10921061 |pmid=38463756|bibcode=2024ZooK.1193...81X }} Synergus uses the galls of Cynipini on oak trees.{{Cite journal |last1=Nastasi |first1=Louis F. |last2=Buffington |first2=Matthew L. |last3=Davis |first3=Charles K. |last4=Deans |first4=Andrew R. |date=2024-03-25 |title=Key to the North American tribes and genera of herb, rose, bramble, and inquiline gall wasps (Hymenoptera, Cynipoidea, Cynipidae sensu lato) |journal=ZooKeys |issue=1196 |pages=177–207 |doi=10.3897/zookeys.1196.118460 |doi-access=free |issn=1313-2970 |pmc=10985401 |pmid=38566620|bibcode=2024ZooK.1196..177N }}
