UEFA Women's Euro 2017 qualifying Group 5#Russia v Germany
{{Short description|Football tournament qualification stage}}
Group 5 of the UEFA Women's Euro 2017 qualifying competition consisted of five teams: Germany, Russia, Hungary, Turkey, and Croatia. The composition of the eight groups in the qualifying group stage was decided by the draw held on 20 April 2015.{{cite web|url=https://www.uefa.com/news-media/news/0220-0e15f1b90465-942b19bce04a-1000--russia-face-germany-sweden-get-denmark/|title=Russia face Germany, Sweden get Denmark|date=20 April 2015|publisher=UEFA}}
The group was played in home-and-away round-robin format. The group winners qualified directly for the final tournament, while the runners-up also qualified directly if they were one of the six best runners-up among all eight groups (not counting results against the fifth-placed team); otherwise, the runners-up advance to the play-offs.{{cite web|title=Regulations of the UEFA European Women’s Championship, 2015–17|url=http://www.uefa.org/MultimediaFiles/Download/Regulations/uefaorg/Regulations/02/16/53/77/2165377_DOWNLOAD.pdf|website=UEFA|format=PDF}}
