I'm a European citizen who lives in Edinburgh, the most beautiful city in the world, with my cat Fran. I moved here over two years ago from Aberdeen where I attended university and worked as a primary teacher for 10 years. I have spent most of my life living in Scotland but have also lived in Madrid and in Melbourne
My main interests in Wikipedia are related to education, the European Union, removing American bias and LGBT issues. I have a personal Wikigoal of trying to keep all articles I encounter balanced and free from Americentric terminology and points of view. unfortunately I don't get as much time to edit and expand articles as i'd like as i spend a lot of my time on Wikipedia tracking recent changes and reverting vandalism.
My user name is Brideshead as the novel Brideshead Revisited by Evelyn Waugh is my favourite work of literature. it is the only novel I have ever read which made me jealous; I wish I had written it.
