In 2014, Hasse-Clot graduated to single-seaters, taking part in the 2014 French F4 Championship.{{cite web|url=https://www.paddockscout.com/boccolacci-leads-more-names-for-french-f4-2014|title=Lotus prospect Boccolacci leads more names for French F4 2014|first=Peter|last=Allen|work=Formula Scout|date=13 February 2014|accessdate=2 July 2023|quote=Other French karters making the step up are Valentin Hasse-Clot and Erwan Jule.}} In his opening season of formula racing, he claimed two podium finishes – at Magny-Cours and Nogaro – en route to a tenth-place finish in the championship. =Single-seaters=

Hasse-Clot graduated to Formula Renault competition in 2015, beginning the season with Strakka Racing in both the Eurocup and Northern European Cup competitions. After claiming a podium in the opening NEC round at Monza, Hasse-Clot was left without a ride following Strakka placing their Formula Renault 2.0 program on hold for the year.{{cite web|url=https://formulascout.com/strakka-racing-puts-formula-renault-2-0-programme-on-hold/27858|title=Strakka Racing puts Formula Renault 2.0 programme on hold|first=Peter|last=Allen|work=Formula Scout|date=20 May 2015|accessdate=2 July 2023}} He continued in Eurocup with Manor MP Motorsport at Spa and the Hungaroring,{{cite web|url=https://www.thecheckeredflag.co.uk/2015/05/hasse-clot-joins-manor-mp-motorsport/|title=Hasse-Clot joins Manor MP Motorsport|first=Paul|last=Hensby|work=The Checkered Flag|date=28 May 2015|accessdate=2 July 2023}} before switching again to Fortec Motorsport to complete the season.{{cite web|url=https://formularapida.net/hasse-clot-joins-fortec-for-eurocup-final-rounds/|title=Hasse-Clot joins Fortec for Eurocup final rounds|first=Arnau|last=Viñals|work=Formula Rapida|date=31 August 2015|accessdate=2 July 2023}} Hasse-Clot had tested with Fortec prior to the 2015 season, but joined Strakka due to a lack of available seats at Fortec. However, he would only take part in the first two rounds at Misano and Adria, finishing as high as fifth. Following his campaign, Hasse-Clot stated that he realized he wouldn't have the budget to continue to progress through the single-seater ladder, leading him to pursue a career in sports car racing.{{cite web|url=https://fr.motorsport.com/pcc-france/news/valentin-hasse-clot-panache-porsche/3177293/|title=Valentin Hasse-Clot au panache|trans-title=Valentin Hasse-Clot with panache|language=French|first=Emmanuel|last=Rolland|work=Motorsport.com|date=17 September 2018|accessdate=2 July 2023}}
