- Delete - According to Soccerway and SL Stat (via Google Translate), this footballer's highest achievement was a single 10-minute substitute appearance in a Saudi first-level league match during the 2014–15 season. Without some evidence of GNG-compliance, we have a long-standing consensus to delete these types of sub-stub BLPs. Jogurney (talk) 14:29, 27 September 2017 (UTC)
- Delete does not meet notability requirements for soccer players.John Pack Lambert (talk) 16:32, 27 September 2017 (UTC)
- Keep passes WP:FOOTY and is consensus in sport is general is not to delete currently playing players who pass WP:NSPORT and it would mean a player can be deleted just after making his debut. If the player has retired it would be different but he is still currently playing.Pharaoh of the Wizards (talk) 01:08, 30 September 2017 (UTC)
::Hi {{Ping|Pharaoh of the Wizards}} could you tell us which of the criteria in WP:NFOOTY he meets. I may have missed something. Domdeparis (talk) 07:40, 30 September 2017 (UTC)
:::Ok I see it's the 10min substitute appearance. Please don't forget this was 3 years ago and he is now playing 3rd division and does not meet GNG. The topic specific guidelines are only there to avoid speedy and prodding. The articles still have to meet GNG as per the FAQ at the top of the page. The player is 33 now and it is unlikely that he will return to top tier matches. A 10 minute appearance 3 years ago is unlikely to have guaranteed enough coverage for him to meet GNG. - Delete He does technically meet WP:NFOOTBALL, but that only asserts a "presumption" of notability. With only 10 minutes in a single fully professional league game, and that several years ago, according to his profile I'd want to see a bit of coverage somewhere. Even the Arabic pages seem to only have vague stats and no in depth about him. NFOOTBALL is only to provide bright-line guidance to enable editors to determine quickly if a subject is likely to meet the General Notability Guideline. With more FPL time, or if he was just starting out and played that time this year, or international appearance I'd accept that likelihood, but this subject fails WP:GNG and I see no likelihood that will change any time soon. - Delete - one substitute appearances a number years ago (to technically meet NFOOTY) is not enough when he comprehensively fails GNG, particularly when the player is at an age where he is nearing the end of his professional career. Some COMMONSENSE is needed here, and plenty of AFD precedent exists to say that barely passing NFOOTBALL is not enough when you fail GNG, see Oscar Otazu, Vyacheslav Seletskiy, Aleksandr Salimov, Andrei Semenchuk, Artyom Dubovsky, Cosmos Munegabe, Marios Antoniades, Scott Sinclair, Fredrik Hesselberg-Meyer, Matheus Eccard, Roland Szabó (2nd nomination), Metodija Stepanovski, Linas Klimavičius, Takumi Ogawa, Nicky Fish and Andrei Nițu, amongst others.
