  • Keep I'm basing this on usage in scientific papers - see [https://scholar.google.co.nz/scholar?hl=en&as_sdt=0%2C5&q=%22Coto+river%22&btnG=]. Almost all of these instances refer to a Costa Rica river. One could probably dig in and figure out which of the two is meant in each instance, but absent that, it seems clear that the short form is in use and that they form part of the same basin (see e.g. Figure 1 in [https://www.scielo.sa.cr/scielo.php?pid=S0034-77442008000100011&script=sci_arttext&tlng=en this] paper). --Elmidae (talk · contribs) 21:43, 31 May 2021 (UTC)
