A list of a handful of single-nation Bingo-related nicknames. Could be merged into a list of worldwide nicknames (if exists), but is not WP:notable enough for inclusion on its own, or even does it include reliable sources. (talk→ BWilkins ←track) 22:51, 28 July 2009 (UTC)

• Weak keep This could never be used as a source for the article or anything, but [http://www.sporcle.com/games/bingocalls.php here] is an indication of how wide this topic can be. It is notable. As the comments on the page I linked also indicate, it's unbelievably obscure to most people, but I imagine there's possibility for the article to be improved. • Keep I just did a Google Books search for "bingo little duck" and got at least 4 books which describe and give examples of this topic. No need to delete if the "single nation" is an issue, just do a rename/move – these terms are also widely used in many Commonwealth countries such as Australia and New Zealand. --Canley (talk) 03:19, 29 July 2009 (UTC)

• I expect you actually read the nomination statement, in that I highly recommend this extremely short list could be merged into a list of international nicknames (one that would be separated into by country, if needed), and not delete "for no stated reason". ::I did read it. How can you merge an existing list into one which doesn't exist? Why is it not notable enough for inclusion by itself? You give no reason or evidence for this statement. Why are the independent sources, sufficient for other wikipedia articles, not sufficient here? The only inflammatory and anti-AGF comment here is not my own sir. These particular terms are peculiar to Britain where Bingo has been a major pastime for decades and played by millions of people. • Comment There is undoubtedly a place for a list of bingo nicknames in wikipedia, but maybe "Bingo calls" should be the place for it (that currently redirects to Bingo, which is a disambiguation page), or List of Bingo Calls or whatever. • Keep. An obviously notable subject to anyone who spent their childhood holidays in British seaside towns. If such terms exist in other languages or cultures then the article can be renamed and expanded appropriately. My only concern is with the lack of content - where are the "two fat ladies", the "legs" (followed by a wolf-whistle), the "key of the door", the "clickety-click" and the "unlucky for some"? Please don't ask me to give sources for those - they are pure original research, but I'm sure that it would be easy enough for anyone who wants sources to find them. • Keep.These calls are still to be heard in British seaside towns the length and breadth of the country, as well as at fund raising events, residential homes and day care centres. Again, this is pure WP:OR. The list is a useful source of reference for others who have missed out on this rich cultural experience.--Harkey (talk) 09:56, 31 July 2009 (UTC)
