WP:NOTINHERITED, being a sister of a famous poet doesn't make her automatically notable. She did no significant work to meet WP:NPOET. Htanaungg (talk) 04:51, 1 November 2021 (UTC)

::::{{ping|Usedtobecool}} Very interesting. Would you mind adding the sources (hopefully it's in English) where the literary award was named after her? I'd love to add it in the lede and help expand the article if possible. --WomenProj (talk) 11:06, 2 November 2021 (UTC)

:::::[https://www.jstor.org/stable/23339768 This] is the only place I've found the award mentioned online in English. It says, {{tq|Sundas, Lakhi Devi : A poet, short story writer and critic; recipient of Ratna Sree, Lokpriya Devi and Bhana puraskar; President of the Nepali Sahitya Sammelan.}} Online coverage in Nepali are all of the same type: usually a mention in coverage about people who have won it[https://epaper.ekantipur.com/kantipur/2019-12-21/?type=text][https://annapurnapost.com/news/135440][https://rajdhanidaily.com/id/40374/]. [https://epaper.ekantipur.com/kantipur/2020-03-14/ This], also in Nepali, lists Lok Priya Devi among the 17 Nepali writers whose busts are at the "Literature pilgrimage, Kapildham".{{pb}}To summarise, I think to get the article expanded, we'll need {{u|Bada Kaji}} to find some time himself, at least for now. He has listed so many references at least some of which seem to have SIGCOV; I can't think of any reason not to assume good faith here. The one link that's in the further reading section is a decent biography (also in Nepali) which can be used to expand the article as well. Regards! Usedtobecool ☎️ 13:27, 2 November 2021 (UTC)

:::::: I have expanded the article. Bada Kaji (talk • श्रीमान् गम्भीर) 20:26, 2 November 2021 (UTC)

  • She's only a woman, so of course we should concentrate on the few words that say who her brother was, rather than on the rest of the article that describes and sources her own achievements. What century are we living in? Phil Bridger (talk) 21:40, 2 November 2021 (UTC)
  • Keep - I can understand why nominator thinks WP:NPOET may not be possible because of language differences and non-availability of online materials. However, I am not sure why nominator thinks WP:NOTINHERITED. Nontheless, with WP:GF, the references seems reliable and relatable, although I must admit that I have no access to the offline references presented in the article. nirmal (talk) 11:24, 3 November 2021 (UTC)
  • Keep - She is mentioned in a number of reliable sources including Nepal Encyclopedia, Nepali Literature: Background & History, Women Writers of Nepal (Profiles and Perspectives), Indian Literature Volume 37, and other reference works. In addition, she published her poems in a number of important Nepali magazines, along with the literary supplements to the national newspaper Gorkhapatra, the oldest newspaper in Nepal. All of that combined is proof of notability.--SouthernNights (talk) 12:43, 7 November 2021 (UTC)
