There is no consensus that lists etc. need to be alphabetized, and not e.g. ordered chronologically or otherwise. Having a project to do something which doesn't have consensus and may easily lead to pointless edit warring and so on seems like a bad idea.
E.g. one of the guidelines listed here is Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Lists of works, which starts with "Items should normally be listed in chronological order of production, earliest first." Fram (talk) 10:05, 7 November 2022 (UTC)

- Delete. This is a good faith attempt to improve the encyclopedia, but things like this should go through the Village Pump first to ensure that it's necessary. I would suggest reminding the creating user that they've done nothing wrong and that further ideas to improve Wikipedia are encouraged. Thebiguglyalien (talk) 16:12, 7 November 2022 (UTC)
- Delete I agree this seems like a good faith attempt, but needs consensus first. If anything something like this should be part of Wikipedia:WikiProject Lists, not a separate project. -Kj cheetham (talk) 18:29, 7 November 2022 (UTC)

- Delete: I agree with Fram on their nomination, and with Kj cheetham that it should be a part of WikiProject Lists. If you want to create a new WikiProject anyway, a proposal is need to made first at Wikipedia:WikiProject Council/Proposals, and then it would be debated on the basis of (de)merits and potential activity could be gauged so that it doesn't fall into disuse shortly after creation. —CX Zoom[he/him] (let's talk • {C•X}) 13:25, 8 November 2022 (UTC)
- Delete we shouldn't be creating a WikiProject for something that is at times against Wikipedia guidelines such as Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Lists of works. Joseph2302 (talk) 15:54, 8 November 2022 (UTC)
