{{user|Dskcool}} has effectively recreated and then redirected/moved Ourambhr to Gaur Rajputs. There are no reliable sources for the Ourambhr usage as a synonym nor indeed as a caste community and this was why their previous attempt (as Ouramber) was deleted via PROD. This template redirects to Template:Copy edit-inline (as Template:Spelling redirects to Template:Copy edit). However, Template:Verify spelling seems to be a more appropriate target, as it produces the text {{Verify spelling|date=March 2014}}
I hesitate to change the redirect's target because I feel that may be less intuitive. It currently only has one transclusion, and could easily be replaced with its target. In short, after repeated mistakes using it myself, I question whether it is being employed in a useful fashion. Request for comments. Meteor sandwich yum (talk) 20:52, 16 March 2014 (UTC)
- Keep. I think you are right in your hesitation. You might break a lot of things without meaning to. I have never used either myself. Si Trew (talk) 04:37, 17 March 2014 (UTC)
- Weak Delete. I think I have a good grasp on what it would break, but (since it's not being used) it would be more logical to delete it. What I mean is, almost nothing links to it, and both templates are in conflict with each other. Keeping this one won't resolve any confusion. Meteor sandwich yum (talk) 22:55, 20 March 2014 (UTC)
::There's one use right now. --BDD (talk) 16:12, 24 March 2014 (UTC)
- Retarget to Template:Verify spelling. Spelling is part of copy editing, so if an editor is specifically flagging something for review of spelling, there's no need to give it a more general tag. --BDD (talk) 16:12, 24 March 2014 (UTC)
:* Sounds good. Re-targeted it. I examined the transclusion and it indeed requests spelling, specifically.
:: Can we close this one, then? Meteor sandwich yum (talk) 08:21, 29 March 2014 (UTC)

While "Subfamily Veloceraptorinae" is only redundant (see Wikipedia:Redirects_for_discussion/Log/2014_March_15), this redirect is incorrect. -ini in zoological nomenclature refers to a tribe, not subfamily. In any case, no reason to suspect at all that Veloceraptors are what someone is searching for when they type "subfamily" into the search bar. --Animalparty-- (talk) 18:45, 16 March 2014 (UTC)

Delete. The redirect has exactly one article that links to it Namecoin, and that article is NOT using "cryptonit" as a gross misspelling of kryptonite, but instead as the name of an actual existing company https://cryptonit.net/. Chris Arnesen 17:52, 16 March 2014 (UTC)
Also a software package: http://sourceforge.net/projects/cryptonit/ --Amontero (talk) 21:25, 16 March 2014 (UTC)
:I've not heard of it myself and I was a software engineer for thirty years (probably why I haven't heard of it, far too new for me). Checking the site it is just a signiature signing thingy but it does come in several languages so I don't know if it is notable in itself or not? I'd never heard of it but I am not speaking for the other seven billion Si Trew (talk) 04:26, 17 March 2014 (UTC)
:Ok, Cryptonit.net (as far as I see by checking it without signing up to it) is essentially a rival to Bitcoins. Si Trew (talk) 09:18, 17 March 2014 (UTC)
:Therefore I should suggest a DAB but neither is particularly notable and the second is a bit WP:PROMO even though it is free software (well under a GNU Public License like Wikipedia is) but this is not notable, I think. Si Trew (talk) 09:24, 17 March 2014 (UTC)
Delete 'cryptonite' may be a more common misspelling, but 'cryptonit' is stupid. It's a bitcoin rival, has nothing to do with Kryptonite. Ned1230|Whine|Stalk 14:07, 18 March 2014 (UTC)

Two shows named now. Beerest 2 Talk page 16:20, 16 March 2014 (UTC)
- Retarget to Cosmos (disambiguation)#Nonfiction media. At the time I created the redirect, there was only one TV series named Cosmos. As there are two now, and I don't think either qualifies as the primary target, the best use of this redirect is to point to the disambiguation page. —C.Fred (talk) 16:30, 16 March 2014 (UTC)

- Keep The original series remains WP:PRIMARYTOPIC as far as I'm concerned. The new series is referred to in reliable sources as a continuation or reboot of the original. In the long term, more readers searching "Cosmos (TV series)" are probably looking for the Sagan series. In the meantime, the hatnote there will satisfy those looking for the Tyson one. Should the new series eclipse(space pun!) the original in notability, it may be worth revisiting. --BDD (talk) 16:18, 24 March 2014 (UTC)
- Keep. I am familiar with both series, and as pointed above, the original Carl Sagan series is the WP:PRIMARYTOPIC, being the second one a continuation/reboot. For now it's still too early to discuss about this issue, in the future perhaps the new series could gain the same notoriety as the main one, but that still remains to be seen (and for now the new one has just begun).--Kanon6996 (talk) 21:12, 24 March 2014 (UTC)
- Keep. I'm also familiar with both. I was searching this show and expected to be redirected to the Carl Sagan 1980 version with a "for the 2014 series, click xxxxxxx" If "Cosmos (TV Series)" goes to the disambiguation page, it'll require two clicks to get to both pages. Whereas, if you have it direct to the 1980 iconic version, many can get to the page they want. If people are searching the 2014 version, they can click the link above. My take is to have "Cosmos (TV series)" stay redirected to the Carl Sagan original one. I'm going to create "Cosmos (2014 TV Series)" to have it redirect to the new one too. - Delete Redirect could plausibly be turned into a full article. Per WP policy, if the redirect could plausibly be expanded into an article, and the target article contains virtually no information on the subject, it is better that the target article contain a redlink than a redirect back to itself. :::I'm not quite sure what you're asking, but the team is "Hattori Racing Enterprises", and is only known by that name. There is no content about Hattori Racing Enterprises on the Shigeaki Hattori page, and placing it there would be inappropriate as the page is about the person, not his (notable outside of the person) team; it would be akin to having Fisker Automotive → Henrik Fisker, to use an example. - The Bushranger One ping only 12:01, 18 March 2014 (UTC)

There was another one the other day like this, that the team went to the founder, but I can't remember what it was or the result of it. I am only on a smalll tablet so to search for it while writing this I tend to lose it. Thai Grand Prix is perhaps an analogy and has come up at RfD but it is not that I was thinking of. Si Trew (talk) 06:07, 19 March 2014 (UTC)
:::::In cases where the team is run by an owner-driver and never uses any other drivers, then redirecting to the owner-driver's page would be appropriate; but, that isn't the case here (Shiggy being long since retired). - The Bushranger One ping only 06:44, 27 March 2014 (UTC)
