Redirect with questionable utility. For one, at the present time, redirects such as Xbox (second generation) do not exist. For two, there was no Xbox system that was released during the first generation of video game consoles, and the structure of this redirect could make a reader believe that there may have been. All in all, I don't see this redirect being clear enough to continue existing. Steel1943 (talk) 22:44, 8 November 2022 (UTC)
- Keep - Seems relatively clear to me. Xbox has had 4 generations, and is an overarching brand. This is a viable search term for the first iteration. It's both helpful (and ironically less confusing) considering Microsoft's confusing naming system for the brand. (Ie, "Xbox One" is actually their third generation of product, etc.) Sergecross73 msg me 22:49, 8 November 2022 (UTC)
- Keep It's obvious that this refers to the first generation Xbox, and therefore redirects there, because it shares its name with the Xbox (fourth generation) (the fourth generation Xbox which has the models Series X and Series S). The fact that it isn't part of the first generation of video game consoles is irrelevant. It's the first generation in it's product line. -- ferret (talk) 23:20, 8 November 2022 (UTC)
- Keep one of several ways that the original Xbox is made distinct from the current Xbox line. --Masem (t) 23:31, 8 November 2022 (UTC)
- Keep: Seem logical enough to me plus it is WP:CHEAP. This is similar to products like iPad (1st generation) and iPhone SE (2nd generation) Pizzaplayer219TalkContribs 23:36, 8 November 2022 (UTC)
