It's a wordplay on Swastika and car, because the Elon Musk Nazi salute business happened, and since the performer of the alleged Hitler heil, Elon Musk, runs the car manufacturer Tesla, Inc, this wordplay has become marginally popular on the internet by virtue of the subjects having common association. Having said that about the internet joke, there is no info at target regarding Teslas being called "Swasticars", and I have not even seen any general content there about post-Musk-gesture backlash against the company. Maybe delete this? BarntToust 23:44, 5 March 2025 (UTC)

:delete no real notability for this moniker yet User:Bluethricecreamman (Talk·Contribs) 00:04, 6 March 2025 (UTC)

:Keep I'm honestly surprised no one's added anything about the term yet to that article yet. Redirects aren't themselves required to be notable, that people may be expected to search on them suffices. This one makes sense, though, yes, the target article needs to mention it. I think it can be written to fit into the "lawsuits and controversies" or "criticism" section. Largoplazo (talk) 01:00, 6 March 2025 (UTC)

::I had added [https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Tesla%2C_Inc.&diff=1277952746&oldid=1277729010 a whole bit] about the backlash for Musk's support for parties such as reform and AfD and his supposed salute resulting in the swasticar moniker in the tesla sales section since that was where they were talking about the dip in sales being due to Musk's far right dalliances but it was reverted for being political and I didn't have the will in me to fight it. Others may feel free to pick up that particular gauntlet Shadebug (talk) 01:09, 6 March 2025 (UTC)

  • Keep and add content to the article regarding the term given it is a response to Elon's salute, which the article is about. There's enough reliable sources to support the content in the article. TarnishedPathtalk 09:42, 13 March 2025 (UTC)
  • Keep, the term is now mentioned and sourced in the target article. Suonii180 (talk) 17:50, 13 March 2025 (UTC)
  • Keep as long as the content remains in the article and there isn't better content at Criticism of Tesla, Inc. or Tesla Takedown. The latter seems like the most natural home for it but there isn't any mention of the term there yet and there is at the main article. Rusalkii (talk) 17:52, 13 March 2025 (UTC)

:Delete for sure. This is not even mentioned in the target article, and I'm sure not many people have heard of it, other than Anthony Padilla's dedicated fanbase (I certainly haven't, although I'm not really into his content). This channel is run by Padilla's former girlfriend Kalel Smith, but even she isn't mentioned in Anthony Padilla's article. Plant🌱man (talk) 02:00, 13 March 2025 (UTC)

:Delete Wow... this redirect was more of a doozy than I thought. Not mentioned at target. Retarget to Stuffed toy, like {{-r|Stuffed animals}} etc.? 1234qwer1234qwer4 20:45, 12 March 2025 (UTC)

  • Retarget per nom. Even if there is some relation to the rapper, stuffed toy is the primary topic. Thryduulf (talk) 22:08, 12 March 2025 (UTC)
  • Retarget per nom. Per MOS:EASTEREGG, a common phrase, object, idiom, metaphor, etc., should NOT redirect to an article about a musical artist or album because it's used as the title of a non-notable song. Carguychris (talk) 00:43, 13 March 2025 (UTC)
  • Speedy Retarget per WP:SURPRISE. Schützenpanzer (Talk) 00:54, 13 March 2025 (UTC)

  • Delete and specifically don't retarget per nom: see WP:DIFFCAPS. There's no reason to ignore policy here. Shhhnotsoloud (talk) 17:23, 16 March 2025 (UTC)
  • :I'd disagree that WP:DIFFCAPS is applicable here; there isn't any other encyclopedic topic competing for the "Stuffed Animals" title capitalized as such, so there's nothing that stuffed toy is being distinguished against. To my eye, it's a textbook {{t|R from other capitalisation}} case. ModernDayTrilobite (talkcontribs) 19:02, 17 March 2025 (UTC)
  • ::But you've made my point: {{xt|there isn't any other encyclopedic topic competing for the "Stuffed Animals" title capitalized as such}}, so it should be deleted. We don't need to make up uses for redirects whose utility has passed. If it didn't exist we wouldn't create it because "Stuffed Animals" and "Stuffed animals" are different. Shhhnotsoloud (talk) 20:53, 17 March 2025 (UTC)
  • :::If that were true then we would delete every redirect that different only by capitalisation when there was a primary topic. We don't do that, we keep them and use hatnotes and redirect categories. In this case the primary topic for readers using both "Stuffed animals" and "Stuffed Animals" is stuffed toy. If we had any encyclopaedic content about the song then we would add a hatnote to that article saying Stuffed Animals redirects here, for the song see ..., so we should not delete the redirect because we don't have that content. :The result of the discussion was retarget

to Creation. plicit 00:17, 20 March 2025 (UTC)

Lots of "creations", this is a very generic term. Not sure if it should be deleted or disambiguated. Rusalkii (talk) 20:10, 12 March 2025 (UTC)

  • Either move Creations (band) over this title (and add a hatnote to the Creation dab page), or retarget to Creation and expand that to cover the plural. The band is the only article I've found that isn't obviously a partial title match but I'm not completely confident in that. Thryduulf (talk) 22:13, 12 March 2025 (UTC)
  • Either of Thryduulf's proposed solutions would work well here. I slightly lean toward moving Creations (band) over the title, since none of the topics at the Creation DAB seem like they would plausibly be referred to in the plural, but his other proposal would also be an improvement over the status quo. ModernDayTrilobite (talkcontribs) 13:44, 13 March 2025 (UTC)
  • REtarget to creation (disambiguation -- 65.92.246.77 (talk) 03:17, 14 March 2025 (UTC)

:Move Creations (band) over this title and add a hatnote to the Creation dab page. The band seems to be the only non-ptm result for "Creations" on ENWP. User:Someone-123-321 (I contribute, Talk page so SineBot will shut up) 09:25, 14 March 2025 (UTC)

::If we aren't expanding the dab to cover the plural, I think a see also would be better than a hatnote. Thryduulf (talk) 12:18, 14 March 2025 (UTC)

:::It should be expanded to cover the band. And "creations" primary topic should be cultural artifacts (ie. human-made goods) or artefacts built by creativity (creativity listed on the dab). Object from creativity would not be a PTM -- 65.92.246.77 (talk) 03:02, 15 March 2025 (UTC)

Misleading. I just had to revert someone misusing this redirect for a URL. Domain names are not URLs, they're just a part of them. Paradoctor (talk) 17:56, 12 March 2025 (UTC)

:* Retarget per Xoontor to {{tl|R from URL}}, and tag as {{tl|r from miscapitalization}}. Paradoctor (talk) 13:44, 16 March 2025 (UTC)

:Unless there is some desire to categorise them separately, this feels like an argument for swapping the template and redirect rather than deletion. Thryduulf (talk) 18:16, 12 March 2025 (UTC)

::URL ≠ domain name. Neither can stand in for the other. {{ping|Xoontor}} is "considering creating a separate template (on the page "Template:R from URL")". Would be fine with me. But as long as this hasn't happened, that redirect is unusable. Paradoctor (talk) 19:01, 12 March 2025 (UTC)

:::A domain name is not a url, but it is a subset. Redirecting a narrower topic to a broader one that encompases it is fine. Thryduulf (talk) 22:15, 12 March 2025 (UTC)

::::Domain names are {{em|not}} a subset of URLs, no more than legs are a subset of bodies, or tires are a subset of cars. Look it up. Paradoctor (talk) 23:41, 12 March 2025 (UTC)

:::::Legs are a subset of bodies and tyres are a subset of cars in the sense that "leg" is a hyponym of "body". Further, I did look it up and Domain name#Uses in website hosting states {{tpq|The domain name is a component of a uniform resource locator (URL)}}. Thryduulf (talk) 02:16, 13 March 2025 (UTC)

::::::That's what I said right at the top. We're talking about categories here, not article topics. If x is a member of a subset A of some set B, then x is also a member of B. That's what a subset is. Is a tire a car? Is a leg a body? You're confusing "component of" with "element of".

::::::{{tq|"leg" is a hyponym of "body"}}: Not what Hypernymy and hyponymy says.

::::::{{code|About.com|lang=HTML}} is a domain name, but it is not a URL. {{code|https://About.com/|lang=HTML}} is a URL, but not a domain name. The scheme makes the difference. {{slink|URL|Syntax}} Paradoctor (talk) 03:11, 13 March 2025 (UTC)

:::::::Let's stop arguing about terminology and get back to the basic question: Do we want to categorise redirects from domain names and redirects from full URLs in one category or two? I don't see a need for two categories, so if the name of the current category is problematic we should change it. I definitely do not see any benefit to the encyclopaedia arising from deletion. Thryduulf (talk) 04:16, 13 March 2025 (UTC)

::::::::Terminology is at issue when you conflate domain names and URLs. Whatever. As I said before, I do not insist on deletion, just as long as the redirect goes away. Paradoctor (talk) 05:15, 13 March 2025 (UTC)

Not mentioned in any article on the English Wikipedia. Bigfoot in popular culture#Films has an (uncited) entry for "The Legend of Grassman", though I'm not sure that would be enough for retargeting it (even if the pop culture article stays the way it currently is). 1234qwer1234qwer4 17:35, 12 March 2025 (UTC)

:Actually, disregard the target alternative, the Bigfoot article does mention "Grassman", but this still seems to be a rather obscure alternative name, considering we barely even have content on Kenmore, Akron, Ohio, which is what the first part of the title is presumably referring to. 1234qwer1234qwer4 17:38, 12 March 2025 (UTC)

  • Delete. If you do a News WP:GTEST in quotes for "Kenmore Grassman" to look for suitable nonfringe refs, the results favor Ohio Grassman, which on Wikipedia is a redirect to the Bigfoot article where the cryptid is mentioned by that name. The alleged creature has several names: The Grassman, Ohio Grassman, Kenmore Grassman, and Orange Eyes. There is no redirect for Orange Eyes. Grassman redirects to Grassmann (surname) and there is a hatnote there that says "'Grassman' redirects here. For a cryptid, see Bigfoot." 5Q5| 13:30, 15 March 2025 (UTC)

This codepoint is currently unassigned in Unicode. It has been [https://www.unicode.org/alloc/Pipeline.html accepted] for inclusion in Unicode 17, which is [https://www.unicode.org/versions/Unicode17.0.0/ scheduled for release in around half a year], though its name is simply "hairy creature", and the [https://www.unicode.org/L2/L2024/24226-esr-report-q4-2024.pdf emoji subcommittee recommendation] also lists Yeti and simply cryptid as keywords. This redirect is not linked to any page and the number is so specific that nobody will likely ever come across it unless they are actively looking for it. Although it is technically related to "trailing zero", nobody is going to put this in a search engine and the number itself has no contextual meaning. Senomo Drines (talk) 14:21, 12 March 2025 (UTC)

Not mentioned at target page, became a redirect as a result of Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/SpongeKnob SquareNuts just in case it ever became notable, but it doesn't seem like it 2 months later. The following reason: {{tq|SpongeKnob SquareNuts, a parody of SpongeBob SquarePants. See Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Sr26005/Archive for more case archive information.}} 112.207.123.170 (talk) 11:34, 12 March 2025 (UTC)

  • It is actually mentioned at the page in the filmography section. Hey man im josh (talk) 13:18, 12 March 2025 (UTC)
  • Keep. As an {{tl|R with history}} this should not be deleted unless really necessary, and per Josh this is perfectly valid even without that consideration. TechnoSquirrel69 (sigh) 19:56, 12 March 2025 (UTC)
  • :Note that, if we were ever trying to preserve history, it can always be moved to a sub page of an article. Hey man im josh (talk) 19:33, 13 March 2025 (UTC)
  • Keep.per TechnoSquirrel69 and Hey man im josh. And no, the page was not made as a Redirect "just in case it ever became notable" but as an alternative to deletion. -Mushy Yank. 10:38, 13 March 2025 (UTC)

Highly implausible: a metro system is usually taken as an underground, which this is not, and with no public schedule for service starting yet there is simply no reason to assume this, no parallel that would lead to misnaming thus. Creator has habit of invention. Kevin McE (talk) 08:23, 12 March 2025 (UTC)

  • Delete, although mostly not for the reasons the nominator gives which are mostly not relevant. What matters is whether people use the term "Colchester Metro" to refer to the target, regardless of whether that is "correct" (by any definition). While there are lots of sources that use the term, most are actually about a "Colchester Metro Bank", filtering them out there are references to a transport scheme but closer examination finds these relate to a rejected alternative proposal based around metro-frequency services on the Colchester-Clacton railway line, not the rapid transit system being built, and that was equally often referred to as "Greater Colchester Metro" or the "Colchester Metro Town (Plan)" so all in all I'm not seeing evidence this is a plausible search term for the target. It's not impossible this will change in the future, but until it does the redirect isn't of value. Thryduulf (talk) 12:16, 12 March 2025 (UTC)

Highly implausible: a metro system is unually taken as an underground, which this is not, and it will be (no public schedule for service starting yet) very much a localised service, by no means across whole of Essex. Creator has habit of invention. Kevin McE (talk) 08:21, 12 March 2025 (UTC)

  • Delete but not for the reasons the nominator gives (which are not relevant, see the #Colchester Metro nomination for details). There are lots of results for "Essex Metro" but with the exception of the first hit, which is explicitly about a fictional transit system, almost all of them relate to either Essex County Cricket Club's matches in a competition sponsored by Metro Bank, or the Essex Metro Immunization Coalition in New Jersey. Excluding those I'm still not seeing anything indicating that the target is known by this name. Thryduulf (talk) 12:24, 12 March 2025 (UTC)

Back when this redirect was made, WT was announced to be in development AND was listed in the article. However, the latest news I could find of the game is now 9 years ago, the game is no longer listed in the article, and this game is now essentially vaporware with just some Reddit posts and images from Adam Riches (the artist) as proof this game was even a concept. This subject USED to have this "nickname" of sorts on their website, but now that their website has since been modified to get RID of this nickname, this redirect serves no purpose but as fodder for mocking Amanda (which is what WP:G10 is for) User:Someone-123-321 (I contribute, Talk page so SineBot will shut up) 01:53, 12 March 2025 (UTC)

  • Keep as a {{temp|R from former name}}. She was known by this for a long time, so it will remain a highly plausible search term for a long while to come. Thryduulf (talk) 01:57, 12 March 2025 (UTC)

Not mentioned at target, and a web search (apart from geographic maps) brings up a bunch of unrelated maps referred to by this name. 1234qwer1234qwer4 01:42, 12 March 2025 (UTC)

  • Delete as unmentioned. If it points anywhere, it should be to James' space, which is what people seem to be referring to with this: a specific map of this space into its double dual, but it's not specifically mentioned there either. 35.139.154.158 (talk) 22:09, 13 March 2025 (UTC)

Not only miscapitalized, but also missing the word "the," making it an unlikely search term. RanDom 404 (talk) 00:00, 12 March 2025 (UTC)

  • Delete per nom. Especially since the proper "Pirates of the Caribbean 6" redirect exists. Enix150 (talk) 07:07, 12 March 2025 (UTC)
  • Delete per above --Lenticel (talk) 09:38, 12 March 2025 (UTC)
  • Keep per WP:CHEAP and since the redirect "{{No redirect|Pirates of caribbean}}" has existed for nearly 15 years. Steel1943 (talk) 01:44, 14 March 2025 (UTC)
  • Weak keep since "Pirates of the Caribbean 6" exists; being all lowercase is a personal choice of whomever wants to enter that, and missing the article "the" is not important -- 65.92.246.77 (talk) 03:21, 14 March 2025 (UTC)
  • Keep - WP:CHEAP typo, doesn't seem implausible. The initial capital doesn't matter as this redirect catches all lower case. Fieari (talk) 06:39, 14 March 2025 (UTC)

:Keep "Pirates of caribbean" is a common enough phrase to mean the franchise / movie, common enough for a redirect to exist for nearly 15 years. User:Someone-123-321 (I contribute, Talk page so SineBot will shut up) 09:14, 14 March 2025 (UTC)
