Rast5 and the 3 IPs have a special interest in Tamara Toumanova. They all reject her being of Georgian descent and instead promote her alleged Armenian descent. 85.141.14.195 has been blocked twice for edit warring, and is currently on the "List of editors warned about possible discretionary sanctions" at WP:ARBAA2. I suspect that Rast5 is closely related to or identical with these IPs, especially the last one, 85.141.14.195, strongly supporting the Armenian cause. Note that Rast5 accuses others of sockpuppetry. All of the editors are involved in an edit war on Tamara Toumanova and Tumanishvili pages, on whose Armenian origins they insist fervently. The first listed IP appeared 20 minutes after the user was blocked for edit warring. I've [http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=User_talk:Kuru&diff=prev&oldid=469011409 already notified] the blocking admin.
UPDATE: The last two IP's just appeared and made the usual edits, including unexplained moving of a longstanding Tumanishvili page. I think we're dealing with block evasion by user:rast5. I would like to see if any of these accounts are related and if there are any sleeper sock accounts. Andriabenia (talk) 16:16, 29 December 2011 (UTC)

It is quite obvious that Rast5 is trying to evade his two week block by using range 178.176. Antique Rose — Drop me a line 16:26, 2 January 2012 (UTC)

I previously made this request at WP:AIV, but I was directed to WP:SPI.
As the archive page of this SPI shows, Gazifikator is a sockpuppet master. Gazifikator, Rast5 et al., see :Category:Wikipedia sockpuppets of Gazifikator, have been busy promoting the alleged Armenian descent of {{article|Tamara Toumanova}}. As the SPI shows, Gazifikator and Rast5 are identical. Gazifikator made his first edit in the Toumanova article [http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Tamara_Toumanova&action=historysubmit&diff=434366079&oldid=427605825 here] and has since then been able to revert and conduct numerous edit wars through e.g. Rast5, 178.176.133.57 and 85.141.14.195, all on the SPI page. Today, Gazifikator resumed his Armenian POV-pushing with [http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Tamara_Toumanova&diff=prev&oldid=471807834 this edit]. It seems very strange to me, that Gazifikator, previously blocked four times [http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Special:Log/block&page=User%3AGazifikator], e.g. for sock puppetry and violating the 1RR, should be allowed to continue editing. I'm not sure what you want done here. Gazifikator has already been shown to be Rast5 (see Wikipedia:Sockpuppet_investigations/Rast5/Archive) and KKL90 is blocked. Gazifikator was blocked for 2 weeks for the socking issue. The IPs haven't edited in weeks/months. What's left to do? TNXMan 19:34, 17 January 2012 (UTC)
:Shouldn't Gazifikator himself be blocked indefinitely as the sockpuppet master? Antique Rose — Drop me a line 19:39, 17 January 2012 (UTC)
::He was already blocked for two weeks for that issue -the block has expired and I don't see where he has socked since. TNXMan 20:09, 17 January 2012 (UTC)
::: According to the archive page {{Userlinks|Shulyatikov}} is a suspected sock, still editing the Toumanova article. Antique Rose — Drop me a line 20:35, 17 January 2012 (UTC)
::::I believe that sock came up CU negative (the comment is unclear...) do you have any evidence to say that it matches? -- DQ (t) (e) 02:13, 20 January 2012 (UTC)
:::::I'll elaborate on this. Shulyatikov did not come up during my check of Gazifikator. I also felt that there wasn't enough sufficient reason to perform a check of Shulyatikov. Since the accounts are already blocked and the accounts are stale, I recommend closing this report unless further suspected sockpuppetry is found. Elockid (Talk) 04:25, 22 January 2012 (UTC)
- Closing, per Elockid. Amalthea 19:51, 23 January 2012 (UTC)

Earlier this year Gazifikator was blocked for sockery, [http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=User_talk%3AGazifikator&diff=469217234&oldid=466667127] and placed on indef 1RR. Recently he has been engaged in an edit war on Charles Aznavour: [http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Charles_Aznavour&diff=496852619&oldid=496808135] [http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Charles_Aznavour&diff=496932023&oldid=496928438] On 11 June Gazifikator was topic banned from Armenia related articles. [http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=User_talk%3AGazifikator&diff=497017839&oldid=496876711] The same day the new account of Retyp was registered, and continued the edit war on Charles Aznavour. The account of OptimusView might be unrelated, but since it made reverts identical to Gazifikator, it would be good to check it too. Grandmaster 14:03, 12 June 2012 (UTC)

- Blocked Retyp per checkuser results. Since the edits were in defiance of an arbitration topic ban, the matter is now at WP:AE with respect to Gazifikator. Seraphimblade Talk to me 20:51, 13 June 2012 (UTC)
- Ah, seems we sort of admin-conflicted here. I already blocked the master. No problem if you want to have that reviewed in some other way. Fut.Perf. ☼ 20:57, 13 June 2012 (UTC)
- It's at AE, but I was suggesting an indef there anyway. I don't see too much chance of it turning out differently. Seraphimblade Talk to me 21:08, 13 June 2012 (UTC)

On 11 June 2012 {{User|Gazifikator}} was indef topic banned from Armenia Azerbaijan related articles. However the same day Gazifikator evaded his ban with a sock account {{User|Retyp}}, which was not the first time he used socks, and on 14 June 2012 he was blocked indefinitely. See the last SPI request on him: [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Sockpuppet_investigations/Gazifikator/Archive#12_June_2012] and this WP:AE report: [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Arbitration/Requests/Enforcement/Archive116#Gazifikator_2]. The account of {{User|Dexact}} was created on June 17, 2012, i.e. 3 days after the account of Gazifikator was blocked indefinitely. Dexact is clearly not a newbie, and knows his way around this site too good for a brand new account. With just a dozen of prior edits, he created the article Hilal Mamedov, and with slightly over 20 edits under his belt, he created the article Political prisoners in Azerbaijan, which he nominated for GA (!): [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Good_article_nominations#Politics_and_government]. Neither article looks like something anybody with no prior experience on this site could do, so clearly it is someone who has been around for a long time. The editing style of Dexact looks pretty much like that of Gazifikator. He creates attack type articles directed at Azerbaijan, exaggerating minor incidents to global importance, and pasting such exaggerated info into more general articles. For instance, Gazifikator created a section about Antisemitism in the article History of the Jews in Azerbaijan (which is in fact described as a country free of Antisemitism), and tried to insert that info into the general article about Antisemitism: [http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Antisemitism&diff=495814816&oldid=495583728], where he edit warred to keep it until was reverted by the regular editors of that article: [http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Antisemitism&diff=496147832&oldid=496113878] [http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Antisemitism&diff=495814816&oldid=495583728]. In the same manner, Dexact tried to copy the info from Hilal Mamedov into Eurovision Song Contest 2012: [http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Eurovision_Song_Contest_2012&diff=prev&oldid=499095579], edit warring until reverted by uninvolved editors: [http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Eurovision_Song_Contest_2012&diff=prev&oldid=499105258] [http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Eurovision_Song_Contest_2012&diff=499116811&oldid=499105258] In the light of the above, a CU is required to check if Dexact has any relation to Gazifikator and Retyp.
